Amazing Value
Whilst this box isn't the smooth quality of expensive Derwent wooden boxes, it is sufficiently sturdy and of reasonable quality. The hinges and catches seem strong. Derwent pencils are an excellent brand. The product comes with an A5 watercolour pad of 5 sheets, a project/guide sheet for beginners, sketching pencils 2H, H, HB, B, 2B and 3B, 12 coloured pencils (ideal for blending) and painting from12 watercolour pencils (range of colours). There is also an eraser, sharpener and paintbrush. I have added to my kit a blending stump and some A5 sketching paper and the lid closes no problem. It is lightweight and easy to carry under my arm. I purchased this when on special offer at just over £16. No brainer. Excellent value and would recommend to any beginner or someone, like me, who just wants a kit for taking outdoors. I use the wooden box as a support whilst drawing.

Great little starter set especially for the kids, they loved using the watercolour pencils and paintbrush. I like that it all comes in a nice sturdy wooden box to store away when not using.
