Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy (PS4)

A great game series and nice to see all 3 in 1 package. I bought this many moons ago, but I will always recommend these game's to anyone. Crash 1 is the hardest, control wise, but the other 2 games are a breeze.

I'm a veteran Crash player. I've completed all the games bar one which I just stopped playing because it was badly done. (In all crash games if you get a gem and die you get to keep that gem but it doesn't it takes them away)I've been playing this for over a month now. I got it when it came out at a very reasonable prime discounted £25.>This is a very impressive job.The positives are:They haven't messed with it. The old frustrations and feeling of eupthoria when you over come a difficult level are all present and correct.The graphics (save for level 1 of Crash one, which seems like someone turned down the saturation and looks washed out),are awesome! They look beautiful. I pulled out the original Crash 3 Warped the other day to compare. Although I remember them lookingmuch closer to the HD remasters ! ! The changes are impressive.They left almost everything* that was great about Crash and they updated the rest. Updated in a caring loving way that is, texturesand models used in this are amazing.There's a couple of new negatives:The crispness of the objects rendered in the engine causes some confusion as to where objects are. Mainly due to shadows and lighting.This can be mind blowingly frustrating when trying to make a series of jumps in a time trial where 1 second could be you get the relic and you don't.Evenafter playing the level 100 times you can still miss the jump.The edges of ledges platforms and such seem to be coated in oil. You can slip off really easily. In the original game as I remember* you couldjump, land on a platform by the skin of your teeth and just stay there. This is not so, anywhere near the edge your brown bread.These things have ramped up the difficulty slightly.I am very happy. I hope they do 'Crash Team Racing' and others now! I'd buy them all if they did them!Well worth your money afterall where do you get 3 games for the price of 1?

If you're at all a fan of platform games then the N. Sane Trilogy is a must-buy whether you're familiar with the Crash series or not. Although the Crash games are 3D, their tight gameplay and mostly-linear level design makes them feel and play much more like a successor to great 2d platformers like Super Mario World or the Donkey Kong Country series than with other 3d platformers like Jak and Daxter or Ratchet and Clank, which had a more open-world feel that encouraged exploration over precise platforming. Which is not a bad thing! The Crash N Sane trilogy instead feels like a wonderful throwback to those games and the genre. And although each individual game isn't super-long (you can finish them in about 3-6 hours each), the fact that you get all 3 originals remastered for less than full-price for a PS4 makes it really worth your money. If you want to try and actually 100% all the games by collecting all the secret gems and crystals, then you can expect to spend around 30-40 hours on this. They'd be enjoyable hours because the N. Sane Trilogy is a fun and arcadey platformer that's just a blast to get through. QUICK NOTE though: the games decrease in difficulty. Crash 1 is by far the toughest, and can really get brutally hard at times, whereas Crash 3 is a bit of a breeze and Crash 2 (my personal favourite) has just the right amount of challenge. So if you buy this and get stuck and frustrated on the first game (which is also the weakest one despite still being fun) then it might be worth working your way backwards starting from Crash 3.

Overall the remaster looks amazing. Mirrors the original regarding the gameplay and with the new additions of auto game saving across the games and time trails in 1 and 2, these make the game more reliable and fun to play. The graphics are obviously a massive step up. It's nice to see a game where levels have different textures and Crash is very detailed. 3 games for under £30 is an absolute buy! Was expecting this to be more expensive due to the high demand the game would get from fans who've grown up playing Crash Bandicoot! There are however a couple of issues in regards to the gameplay itself. When controlling Crash, the controls feel sluggish at times, for example, when jumping, I always feel I need to jump at the last second as Crash doesn't make it over gaps/holes. Most of the time I have to slide and jump over gaps because he always falls down them. I just feel like the controls are a little 'weighty' at times which makes jumping on boxes a very frustrating experience especially if you need to jump on them to cross a gap in order to progress. I've only played Crash 1 and 2 of the trilogy so far but from what I've experienced from playing (Hog Wild - Crash 1) and (Bear Down - Crash 2) there seems to be a massive delay when moving Crash from left to right, the controls feel stiff and sluggish. I don't know whether this is something that's going to be fixed I assume not, but I do feel people who are new to Crash and are first time buyers are going to struggle with the grips of the game. 1996-1998 controls were much better but the N-Sane Triolgy looks aesthetically pleasing! Overall a decent game with a couple of control issues.

Ich habe das Spiel gebraucht gekauft und es funktioniert einwandfrei! Habe es für meine Schwester gekauft, die sich sehr gefreut hat und das erste Spiel in wenigen Tagen durchgespielt hat. Spaßfaktor ist auch top, kann man nur empfehlen!

ho gli originali sulla prima playstation: ci gioco ancora, collegando la scatoletta grigia :)ritrovare i Crash originali su PS4 (dove platform ce ne sono pochini) è una bella sensazione considerato che non hanno toccato nulla dei livelli originali e della giocabilità: solo un restyling grafico e nulla piùa chi si lamenta dell'eccessiva difficoltà (???), non ha mai giocato gli originali! anzi, per certi versi sono stati anche semplificati, inserendo dei check point random in caso di eccessivi problemi nel superare alcuni passaggi nei livellise siete degli amanti del genere o avete dei ragazzini in casa che, per ragioni anagrafiche, non li hanno mai giocati, compratelo a occhi chiusi :)
