Great beard balm, I've got a long heavy beard and this balm is just perfect for it, leaves it feeling very soft with just the right amount of hold without leaving it feeling claggy, smells fantastic and the scent lingers without overpowering for a long time, you get little whiff of it all day

Much the same as the caramel mocha, it melts well but goes oily. Honestly, it smells divine and melts nicely. I've used a few balms that don't melt properly, and end up leaving you feeling waxy, certainly not the case here. This seems to almost go too far, and be a barely set oil. You kind of feel greasy after using it. I'm finding I'm having to use an unscented balm I trust, and then add bits of this just for the scent.Initially, it feels great, but after a couple of days use it starts to feel really greasy. It's such a shame because the smell really is wonderful, and whether I'm using too much or not using it properly (thumbnail to scrape, massaged in with hands, then combed with a saw cut kent comb, followed by a boar hair brush to further distribute) or it's a bad batch, I'm not sure because I've heard people raving about it. Prepared to give it til the end of the tin, but it's certainly not living up to expectations.

I really like it! The smell when I first opened the tin wasn't all that powerful (and I actually like the stronger smelling products) but once you warm it up it is simply awesome. Little sweet, little old fashioned which was exactly what I wanted. It tidies up you beard, although it might struggle with scraggier hairs so recommend getting a good beard wash, but all in all it is almost worth growing beard just to try products like this out.

Perfect scent! this was actually one of the more tough decisions on a purchase that I have made in awhile. I wanted something that smells subtle, manly, and not perfumey, citrusy, minty, or like sun tan lotion. I like bourbon a lot, but I wasn't not sure that I wanted to smell it all day on my face. I took a leap and I love it! it really doesn't smell like bourbon (which is good.) Its scent is tough to describe exactly, but it has a certain woodyness that actually reminds me of vintage wood furniture (namely the teak early 60s hutch that I use as my liquor cabinet) with maybe a super light bit of vanilla. It is subtle, but there all day, and my wife likes it too.But how does it perform?? this is my first time using a beard balm so I don't have much to compare it to but it has been just the ticket to tame my beard. It doesn't plaster the beard into place, instead it seems to condition it, which calms it into submission. I actually find combing it later in the day has better result than right after application. It doesn't take much, and it is not greasy at all.I will be re-ordering once I run out!
