Q: Can it be used in small toilet

Yes, mine is installed in a small toilet with hand wash basin, it's perfect.

Q: My wire has only live and neutral, it doesn't work either connecting live to either 'permanent live' or 'switched live', advice please!!!

If you have only one Live supply - assumed to be from a (light?) switch - then you must connect both the Permanent Live and the Switched Live to that Live supply for the Fan to work when the switch is made.This Fan is designed to continue working after the Switched Live is not powered. The Permanent Live supplies the power to the electronics and the Switched Live tells the electronics to switch the Fan on. After the Switched Live power is removed the electronics keeps the Fan running for a set time, hence the need for a Permanent Live.With a single Live supply the Fan will only run when the Live supply is powered. There will be no Fan over-run. This is how it works with my installation.Please ensure all power is off before connecting the supply. If you are in any doubt seek professional advice.
