Manrose QF100T Quiet Extractor Fan with Timer for 4"/100mm Duct

This fan does make noise as you would expect from a spinning electrical device; however, unlike our previous 10-year-old fan (that this replaced) the noise is substantially less. It is not silent by any means however the key difference for me is the motor noise/vibration does not transmit in the wall. This key difference means the fan is inaudible in other rooms (or outside the bathroom door) and makes a huge difference in our home. The flow rate of this fan this wipes the floor compared with our previous fan. We used to leave the old fan on all day simply because the walls were sopping wet! Now with the new fan, the walls are still damp after a power shower but they are dry after the 30-minute run-on duration (I set it to the max so that we can turn the fan off and know the room will still dry out). Duration kind of doesn't matter however since the fan is silent outside the room and you could, in theory, leave it on since it is also approximately 1/3rd the power use compared with our old model. It is also worth noting that technology seems to have moved on and the enclosure is a lot neater than our previous fan, in fact, it looks half the size from a bulk perspective and sits much tighter to the wall. It is a 100mm square/standard-fit so there was only a little drilling to seat new screw locations in the wall and the wiring was straightforward enough since the old fan was a similar run-on model so there was already a switched live. Another thing to note is there are no side entry grommets for the wiring so our old surface-mounted wiring required me to creatively adapt the case with a small hacksaw so that the wiring could enter the chassis. Now I'm guessing in a newer house than ours with plasterboard this would be fitted with rear entry cabling however in an older solid wall house you are left with wire chasing or case adaption (I choose the later). There is no led/light on this model (which was an oversite on my part) so I will now have to replace the pull cord switch in the ceiling since there is no other way to tell if the switch is ON/OFF other than waiting 30 minutes to see (if it is important to you that this is visible on the fan itself then I suggest another model with integral on/off light). All in all, I'm happy with the fan and would definitely buy this again should the need arise.

Purchased to replace our en-suite extractor fan that had broken. It’s much quieter than our old fan and was very easy to install. Marked down to 4 stars as one of the screw caps was missing but thankfully the ones off our old one fitted perfectly. Really nice to not hear it once the bathroom door is shut (which we could with the old one which was understandably very annoying at night.

This was a like for like replacement as a toilet extractor fan. The last one, and this did, and still is working effectively. Csn vibrate a little but happy with the product.

excellent value and great product easy to replace

Very easy to install this fan. Only just purchased but is working fine and is pretty quiet.

It's not as fast as it should be

Only just installed and the fan is working perfectly and quiet like the previous fan. Had it for 6 years. Hard to say how good the replacement is but cost and delivery was excellent. Item quality is tbc but to date the overall experience is 4 star.

Le produit semble de qualité, l'installation est (très) facile. Pour le modèle avec timer, il suffit de brancher le neutre directement, et ensuite le "switched live" sur le fil qui sort de l'interrupteur, et "permanent live" sur le fil qui arrive à l'interrupteur. Le schéma livré sur la notice est très clair. Bon la notice est en anglais, mais honnêtement, c'est super simple. Je l'ai installé hier, rien à dire, il ne fait pas beaucoup de bruit. Je suis satisfait de mon achat !

Viene sin un cable de conexión que hace imposible su funcionamiento. Fatal tanto trabajo de desmontar antiguo y volver a ponerlo otra vez para tapar el agujero.
