Neat and effective unit
Final comment 9 March 2017I promised to report once I'd tried it on an air bed.The beds we have do not have an inflation tube but a large diameter screw cap with a valve. The inflator only has a small diameter plastic insert which dos not fit.So I bought a cheap foot pump (£5 from Go Outdoors) and used the tube and adaptor supplied with that.Bound 'duct tape' round the plastic insert to make it fit the adaptor, the Hey Presto! it all worked. Each single mattress took 10 mins to inflate. So success - but pumping up manually (well - by foot!) might have been as quick; but I'm old and lazy.Still, an excellent product.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I've just inflated 3 sets of bike tyres to 50 and 60 psi using this kit 'straight from the box' connected to a RoyPow 150W adaptor RoyPow 120W (Max 150W) Power Supply AC to DC Adapter 220V/230V/240V to 12V Car Cigarette Lighter Socket 12V/10A DC Power Transformer Converter (my wife has the car this morning so no DC source).Very quick indeed and the auto stop is great! The unit is just as noisy as my (very) old Halfords one, but it has many 'plus' points, including:1. digital gauge with setting and auto-stop.2. the auto-stop goes over the actual setting to compensate for the air loss when you unscrew the air connector3.unit is smaller than I expected, which is an advantage as it will fit in the 'below boot' tool space of my KIA - with all my other 'essential' junk!4. 6 spare valve caps - I needed one straight away5. neat carry caseI'm in two minds about the screw connector as I've always had a 'quick connector' with a lever before. I could get/make an adaptor cheaply if necessary but I suspect the quick connectors lose just as much air when disconnecting and the screw connector is not too fiddly, so for now I'll stick with it.I intend also to use it to inflate an air bed; (emergency mattress in house, and summer camping use) and will report on that in the spring once I've used the adaptor provided.I also want to use it for car and caravan tyres to avoid the hassle of ASDA filling station air pumps being missing or broken ..... so again will report on this usage once I've tried it out. But on experience to date I have every confidence of success.Tried the light too: the white one could be useful in the garage or at night to locate the valves etc. The red flashing one is 3 LEDs which are directional so probably effective in some night situations.PS 18 Nov:Inflated all 4 car tyres from 31 to 33 psi in a few minutes, and a caravan tyre from 35 to 55 quite quickly.I noted that the 'setting' function seems to remember previous settings, so it flips directly to other setting when you press the increase/decrease buttons. Handy.I'm feeling quite pleased with myself ... made a quick connection adaptor (see photo) using a Halfords thumb-lock connector with jubilee clip (£4.49 total) and a used valve stem (free from local friendly tyre dealer). Wrapped some black insulating tape round the stem of the thumblock connection to increase its diameter, and trimmed the base of the valve stem with a Stanley knife. Magic!

Does what it's supposed to.
Compact, relatively lightweight, easy to use. Indeed, virtually all of these compressors are LOUD and standing right next to one as it's inflating your tyres isn't exactly restful, so the auto cut-off at the correct pressure is a must-have feature, as you can step away and let it get on with it.So far, I've checked my tyre pressures with another gauge and they agree, so it's likely that the pressure gauge on this unit is accurate. All the tyres were within 0.5 psi of each other, so the compressor is at least very consistent. The screw-on fitting on the hose is, I find, easier to use and more reliable than a 'locking lever'. The amount of air lost when fitting the hose is minimal. On my car tyre (205/55 R17) it inflated from ~36 psi to 42 psi in a minute or so, so I had no concern over running down the battery. Putting the hose back into its storage area is easy, not so much the power lead - I tend to wrap it around the unit, which makes the already-tight fit of the storage bag a bit tighter - no worries since I put the whole thing in a bigger cloth bag (for more padding) under the boot floor. One thing it doesn't do (not that I expected it to) is to 'bleed off' any excess pressure ie you connect to a tyre and you want 32 psi, the tyre is already at 36 psi, so the unit will just sit there and think "job done". But it **will** show you the pressure in the tyre, which is a big help.So overall, very pleased. Provided the unit remains reliable (too early to tell) it will be a worthy 5*. If it breaks, I'll amend my review!

Rugged, compact and yet quite powerful - great customer service as well.
It is obvious that this electric pump is well respected and rated, and it should be to.What I have liked is the contact before and after from the seller providing information, FAQ's and assurance of support as needed. That is both comforting and quite rare these days. So a thumbs up for that...!The unit arrived well packaged and I love the material black cover to store it when placing it for storage in the car.I have not used the supplied adaptors as yet, just pumped up several car tyres, and it has done a great job at that. The length of the cord after plugging it into the 12v supply inside the car has been long enough to reach all four tyres. The screw on valve is a positive fit and the control to increase the pressure is precise and works well. It is not going to be quiet in operation but is no more noisy than others I have heard / tried. It does seem to have enough power to ensure that inflating a car tyre from almost flat to 36 PSI in very little time. The lights are also most useful. The only reason for a dropped star, to make this just perfect for us, is the difficulty experienced when wrapping the cable up to fit it back into the enclosed section of the unit to then be put away in its zipped bag. It is not impossible to do but can take a few goes to get it right. Perhaps familiarity might improve that.Would I buy it again.... Absolutely YES.Do I recommend this unit, having used several others...... YESGood value for money and seemingly quite a rugged build.

Great little air pump.
Used it a few times and it works quite well. Cable is long enough and motor isn't too loud. Cable management needs a little work as it's a struggle to push the power plug and cables back into the unit. The lcd lights up so it's easy to see at night. Two minor issues. 1. the reading seems to be off by 0.5 to 1 psi (under). So I always set just a little higher and pump more. 2. The attaching of the nozzle is a screw type, so expect some air loss as you try to unscrew the nozzle from your tire. Overall, a good buy and useful, especially in an emergency.
