Q: Would this punch through laminated paper resources?

I see no reason why these punches would not punch through laminated paper. Not only have I used my set for leather punching but have also punched through aluminium foil of the thickness of foil baking trays. Hope this helps.

Yes, use a hardwood block behind the silver sheet when punching out the hole .

Q: Will these cut through carpet

Probably, depending how thick the carpet is. They do cut through a leather belt.

Q: is there a set that cuts larger holes ie. 30mm

No Idea, i would be looking at an electric drill & spade bit or hole cutter for that diameter
