Yes it's solid and sturdy you will be able to paint it any shade no problem but it looks stunning in white that's how I have left it

Hi, you could easily remove / not fit the shelf if you wanted, although I'm not sure if it would affect the overall stability of the cabinet. As far as re-positioning it - there is only the one position available but I'm sure anyone with a bit of DIY capability could drill a few more holes in a different position.

Q: What are the interior/inside dimensions of the cabinet? I'm hoping to fit a record player with the dimensions: 45.1 (W) x 34.3 (D) x 24.1 cm (H).

Hi there, you will have the space to put in a record player as it measures 59cm (W) x 31cm (D) x 34/28cm (H) - top & bottom shelf. It is a very basic cupboard but is well built and value for money
