Kids started making signs for the lemonade stand )))
After "flipping" (for two hours) through this book, my kids (9, 7, 6) started pulling our cardboard boxes and making signs for their "lemonade stand". They also started thinking and analyzing how many people pass by hour house on a daily basis, and if at least half of them bought the water bottles, how much "profit" they would rake in.As a parent, I don't want to raise men with a mindset for a 9-5 job but rather offer a wide array of opportunities for their futures, and IF they choose the 9-5 job, at least they knew what their options were.

Game Changer for Kids Craving More
Kid Start Up is informative, easy to follow and packed with useful info that even adult entrepreneurs can utilize (leveraging social media, the right way to build a site, how to make an effective flyer etc). The book has a really conversational tone, so kids can actually get through it without dozing off, but the lessons they convey are pretty prophetic for all of us. Here are some examples:1. Hustle. Stop expecting hand outs. Do the work.2. Just start. Stop with the 200 page business plans. Get your hands dirty and dive in.3. Be obsessed with your goals. Casually wanting something isn't enough.Honestly, a lot of adults I know need to be slapped over the head with this book. Our kids loved it too and have plans to launch their next business.

This is a really good book.
My grandson is a little businessman. He read this right away and refers to it. He is 9 years old and has has a pretend corporation with 15 divisions as of now. His businesses cover a wide range of services. He has business stations all over the house, prints up advertising, coupons, announces events. This is a really good book.

A must for teachers of younger students!
As an elementary school teacher, this book is a MUST! In addition to teaching reading, writing, and arithmetic, we are tasked with teaching 21st Century Skills: creativity, grit, collaboration, etc. This book does exactly that! It offers a kid-friendly, accessible, step-by-step approach to becoming your own Mark Zuckerberg or Mark Cuban. Most books on this topic are meant for adults, but this one includes diagrams, pictures, interactive activities, and kid interviews. I will be ordering a class set for my students so they can all learn to become entrepreneurs!

Skills like identifying business opportunities
No one is born knowing how to run a business. Skills like identifying business opportunities, product placement, and pricing strategies take time to develop. But the earlier in life you start developing these skills the better. The book does a great job of trying to do just that for kids! My daughter (11) felt inspired by the other kids her age making money and pursuing businesses, and got some great ideas on how to get involved from the tutorials inside. She's working on her next venture now, one step closer to being a millionaire! Highly recommend

Not Much Content
Good for basic info but pretty light on content. I'll purchase another book in the same category. Also links were no good. For example there was a link cited for creating a flyer for you business. (Will parents even allow kids to knock on doors and distribute flyers?)

In Dollars Not GBP £
Bought as a gift for a budding eight year old entrepreneur - he's always trying to hustle someone out of money. However, (my own fault for not realising the signs on the cover) but this is in dollars and not GBPs so a bit out of touch for the British kids as all references are American.*****If you found this review useful please click yes.

ok but for elementary kids
I thought this would apply for my teen but it did not. it is way too simple made for young kids. My kindle issue had such small print. you may want to get the book instead.

,
More prescriptive than inspirational. Not as many resources as I would have liked creating a business plan and creating a business outside of the ones offered in the book. I wouldn't recommend for teachers.

A book for children
It’s a good book with pertinent content, but it is definitely for young children from 7 to 12.
