Using USB it plugs straight into your PC and the buttons and knobs are fully assignable to actions within your DAW. The price point is spot on and it’s super easy to set up. All these options require proper understanding of the MIDI protocol and so are often overlooked by neophytes who then complain things do not work. Out of the box, no it does not do what you want. Nothing does. **Q: Has anyone tried this with Vegas Pro video edit software?** A: Not me, however, the unit is specifically designed for DAW (digital audio workstation) use with overlay templates for most software currently on the market; such as Cubase, Ableton, Logic, etc. It supports the following operating modes; Mackie Control, HUI and MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) and also has an "MC User" mode where the individual buttons can be assigned by the user. Hope this helps. **Q: Does it work on a Mac with lightroom cc** A: It will work with the Lightroom Classic version, not the cloud based one that Adobe just call Lightroom. You can download a shareware plugin for Lightroom Classic called Midi2LR that works with Windows or MacOS. It takes a bit of setting up but there are plenty of examples on the web. It works very well and speeds up sorting and editing quite a bit. **Q: Will it work with After Effects amd photoshop?** A: Yes you can get this to work the those programs but it's not a straight out of the box solution. You'd need a third party midi translator like Bome's MIDI Translator Pro. It's not straight forward and will some time and patience to get it working, but it can be done for sure. Good size and feel. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good, but I'm suspicious of durability. *by A***- on 14 December 2020* I bought this to use with my growing collection of MIDI controllers for music production/performance. Whilst I suspect it would be good for production, I am not sure of the durability of the rotary dials for performance purposes. I also have two M-Audio keyboards, an Akai pad controller and two Akai MIDIMIX units, all of which feel far more sturdy. Next to these the X-Touch Mini looks and feels more like a toy. I am sure it has its place and I believe for static production work it is probably fine. But for live music work where your attention is not on fine detail work, I suspect it mihht be easy to break the rotary dials. With that said, it is weighty. The buttons have a very positive, resistive feel. The "click" of the endless rotary encoders is deliberate, the knobs for which are also easy to grip and difficult to accidentally turn. The fader also feels good.
