A high-quality pure essential oil at a great price!!
Don't be fooled by the modest price! This company produces one of the best pure, unadulterated lavender essential oils I've come across!!I've been using essential oils for many years, but, newly-returned to the UK, I didn't know where I was going to source good oils. I placed a first order with Naissance for my four "most essential" essentail oils - including this one, L. officianalis - uncertain of what quality I could expect. I needn't have worried! They are excellent, which is why I have moved up to ordering 50ml of this one. A few drops of lavender on my pillow, and I sleep like a baby. And it is the best treatment for burns I know. In fact, modern-day aromatherapy was born at the turn of the 20th century when a French perfume-chemist, René-Maurice Gattefossé, suffered badly burned hands in a laboratory explosion. He treated them with lavender oil and discovered that the skin healed rapidly without contracting and with only minimal scarring. He went on to work with French doctors treating soldiers with gas-gangrene in WWI using lavender and other essential oils. Well, so far, my family and I have only had minor burns to deal with, but lavender is our "go-to" oil for treating these, cos it works! Highly recommended for inclusion in any first-aid box!!

It works well diluted on skin and hair
A friend of mine uses this essential oil mixed with tea tree oil which she applies to acne on her face at nights. She swears that this mixture helped to clear the acne. I have used this lavender oil diluted with coconut oil on my granddaughter's itchy scalp, it helped by stopping the itching. I also added it to my shampoo and hair conditioner. My husband is using it to see whether it can control male pattern baldness. I have been told that it exterminates lice and its eggs from hair, treats dandruff and prevents greying of hair. The smell is quite strong and a little goes a long way. Good for the price.

Poor quality, in my opinion.
This lavender essential oil smells awful. In my opinion this is not Lavender essential oil. I have been purchasing essential oils from Naissance for a number of years now, but either the company has been take over by another company or they have changed suppliers. And when I initiated a return they kept saying it was non returnable , yet when I ordered it, in the description it said returnable within 30 days. So thats misleading, and I've noticed now that it says check company's return policy. Perhaps they've had a number of requests to return this oil? I also purchased Sweet orange essential oil from Naissance, and although the fragrance is ok, the texture of the oil is so thin and watery, so that's changed too. I will not be buying any more oils from Naissance, they've gone down in my estimation.

Disappointing
I bought this mainly because we put lavender oil at the bottom of a nappy bin to mask the bad smells. It is nowhere near as nice as the previous lavender we used (which was a different brand). This one smells strange, almost 'oily', as in, chemical oil. It's OK for what we primarily bought it for, which is sticking on a piece of kitchen roll at the bottom of a bin. However, I am going to have to buy some more of the previous brand I used to use for actual aromatherapy purposes, as this one smells slightly unpleasant, so I wouldn't use it for sleep sprays, etc.
