Q: Does this prevent ants from getting to the fruits/vegetables?

I don’t know, I don’t have an ant problem. But the netting is very fine mesh and probably would be able to keep our aunts if you tie it tightly

Q: Does this work on codling moth?

Yes if you bag the fruit before the moth hatches

Q: Would these work to keep aphids of the tender buds of a rose bush?

I don't think so. The bags and the drawstrings are very stiff, and it's hard to get them tied tightly around the stem of the fruit (or in this case, the bud). I've used them on cherries, grapes, peaches and apples. They worked pretty well on peaches and apples, but the cherries and grapes withered inside the bags. Also, small bugs were able to get in around the stems and they ate some of the grapes. Hope this helps.
