Blast from the past
I'm not a huge gamer these days but I use to be as a kid. I had a lot of fond memories playing games on the NES with my brother so I decided to buy this so we could have a little fun. This product is as advertised. It has all the games listed. I have 3 small complaints. The cords on the controllers are kind of short so you have to sit close to use them. There are no directions for the games so I had to rely on my memory to figure that out. There is also no way to save progress. Other than that I still had a good time playing on it. Very happy for the price.

Not as advertised, but fun
It says there are over 600 games pre-loaded but each game is duplicated several times. If you scroll through you will see the same names over and over again. A lot of the game names are mis-spelled and they are not the ones you remember; but the knock off Mario versions are pretty funny. We ran into game glitches first day in Kung Fu Mario -- if you unlock a door then go backwards through it you can't reuse the key and the key is no longer available for retrieval so the game fails. It's definitely fun though. I just was looking for the original games and only a fraction of those loaded on here are the original games.

Cute little console, but not the most durable. Fun for tinkerers.
Like the header says, it's a cute little console. My partner and I had a couple of days' worth of several hours each time intensely playing with this thing before it finally broke. Turns out the wires inside of the remotes aren't soldered the best they could be, so a little repair later and all's gravy again. If you know even the basics of electronic repair, this little thing is worth picking up.Also, useful knowledge- hold down A, B, TA, and TB while restarting to enter the console's debug mode. This will let you know if you've got a controller issue or some other kind of problem happening with your system. You can also access a weird subpartition by holding down SELECT while restarting. This boots you into a mode with only 12 games. Kind of fun to see the insides of this thing and how it ticks!I'm not the computer/electronics whiz in our household, but my partner tells me it should be possible fairly easily to add a port onto the little board inside of this console to be able to edit its contents. Everything is glob-topped inside, so finding specific chip info is going to be a bit of a process, but that's part of the fun, right? I look forward to tinkering with it some more in the future for sure!tl;dr, 5 stars for value (purchased at $20). Not very durable, but also easily fixable.

Misleading but overall, meh it's ok
This is not the classic nes mini that I've owned in the past where you can upload many games. It looks the same, but it's like a generic version. The buttons and keys were backwards. The uploaded games were glitchy and not all original Nintendo games. I was bummed that the classic Tetris was not a choice. My husband is a tech person and uploaded the one we owned several years ago with ease. He can't seem to figure out how or if the extra games can upload on this unit. I should have known when seeing how cheap it was. It has Contra so I'm somewhat pleased, but super bummed all the other games are missing. If I could go back, I wouldn't buy this.
