Best tool i have purchased
Very handy tool for plastic repairs, got this to repair my daughters car, bumper and headlight mounts, worked really well and have it for any other jobs that may come up.Easy to use and cordless, can do many welds on a single charge which it holds for months.

Great product
I charged it as soon as it arrived, took an hour. I used it to fix the ABS top from my garden shredder thay is no longer available as a spare. The staples slot straight in and heat up in seconds. Apply firm and consistent pressure and they melted in. Cooled in a few seconds and cut off the excess with the side cutters. I then used my Dremel to remove the sharp edges.Worked really well with the part fully functioning again on my shredder. You get plenty of staples of all different sizes & shapes. You do need to pace yourself using it as it has a temperature sensor that stops it over heating so give yourself 10 -15 seconds between applying each staple.Used it for 30 minuted and it stillshiws full charge. Great piece of kit.

It feels cheap but it works
The product works - it has little staples that get really hot, and when plunged into plastic act like a suture. There is also stainless steel mesh that you can embed into plastic - and that gives it real strength. It is cheep and a bit nasty but it does the job. It is worth the money. It does work - provided you flare the staples. I had a lot of trouble with the odd spatula like fitting that you use with the mesh - but figure out that you need to get some pliers on the connectors so they make good electrical contact. Once I figured this out it worked ok.In summery you get what you pay for - its not a quality tool but it works and it has got me out of some tight corners.(oh yes practice on some odd bits before you use it on the real job)

Rechargeable Hot Staple Gun - excellent
Purchased to repair cracked caravan roof. Caravan is in storage with no power so needed a re-chargeable hot stapler. Used it yesterday and it was perfect. Did exactly what I needed it to do and after 20 minutes of usage still had full power. Comes with multiple different staple types which was good as I ended up needing two of the types. Highly recommend this product.

Excellent product for £25 !
Really really surprised as to quality of box it comes with, the heat gun & all the accessories with it - for £25 I think. Tried it once using the joining pins and smoothing plate on an old strimmer that needed repairs. Heated up instantly, inserted 6 joining pins, cut off & melted over joint. Chuffed. Find something else to practice with before go on to my main job. So excellent buy - so far !

This actually works!
I was expecting this to be yet another plastic piece of e-waste that maybe worked once before failing, or not actually doing what it claims. It looks like a cheap photocopy of a real tool... and yet it works really really well.So far I have repaired all the drawers in my freezer which pretty much paid for it, and will be repairing a split water butt and a family member's car bumper at some point. Unlike glue the little wire things lock the broken plastic together, then you can use the flat tool to melt the crack shut. Just don't run it for too long, or the device itself gets quite hot - the instructions do mention this though.

Good, but now broken
I bought this kit to repair several item of various plastics and thickness, some repairs were small, others more demanding. It worked well on all of the repairs. The problem is with larger more complicated tasks. When using the gun for a longer period of time it gets hot to hold and indeed will over heat and burn out, as this one has done. Now I'm buying one with over heating protection.Generally though the kit is quite good for a first timer like my self and small repairs
