Really good product.

I bought this for my husband to repair the interior car door handle on the driver side. The part he needed was hard to find and to take the car to be repaired would cost hundreds, this was decided on as a temporary solution. Next day delivery, inexpensive and easy to use, we can’t complain. It says you need protective gloves and clothes (but how much less are you going to make?). He tried gloves but it was easier to use bare handed - be quick to wash the putty off afterwards. He just kneaded the putty and smoothed a very small amount over the cracked plastic and held the handle in place for a couple of minutes. It cured after about 20 minutes. A few days of use in and out the car and the handle seems to be holding up. We may not need to get the spare part after all.

Good quality product

Arrived at the petrol pump and my filler cap door would not open - locking solenoid failed in the locked position - desperate. Had to force the plastic door trim open which broke its mounting lugs. Tried gluing it back on with epoxy which lasted about a week when it fell off. So I tried this epoxy putty and voila it works just like it says, plastic door trim still firmly attached after two months. It's so easy to use, cut a lump off, work it in the fingers until it's all one colour then press bits of it onto the mating surfaces. You can even apply lumps of it to surfaces that do not mate naturally so that a 'bridge anchor' is formed. No hurry, it will stay workable for about 25 minutes. A very, very good buy.

I wanted to repair a pinhole leak in a Spear & Jackson weedkiller sprayer - the kind that gets pumped up to pressure. Sadly the repair failed immediately. I had caked quite a lot of this stuff onto the leak area, I mixed it up thoroughly, I pounded it down, it set - rock hard... I left it even longer to fully cure... and then filled the container with water. All good. I then started to pump to pressurise it and within seconds liquid was jetting out again. The title of this review is deliberately "my repair failed"... because I accept it might be something I didn't do right. But the takeaway point is that it didn't work for me - the liquid seemed to find its way out underneath the hardened putty and then just exited in a slightly different location. I am now debating whether to give it a second go... but soon I'll have a container that is more putty than container!

So a really nice person kicked off the door mirror on my car (Nissan) causing it to hang by a few wires. The plastic mounting bracket had been snapped completely. According to Nissan, my only option was a complete new mirror at around £300. Or was it? With only a few centimetres of 'surface' I wanted to try sticking the mirror casing back onto the mount. But the mirror is heavy - it has a camera and electric motors behind the glass and I thought it would be too heavy to stay stuck with such limited surface area, particularly when the car would be bouncing on roads, driven at speed on motorways etc. So I found this product and tried it before spending big money. Nothing to lose, right? I used the putty on both edges, held it together for maybe 10 minutes and it bonded. So far so good. I then left the whole thing for 2 days (I know you don't have to leave it that long, but I didn't need the car) before screwing it all back together. I sanded and painted over the white/grey residue (black) and hoped for the best. I took it for a short test drive, fully expecting the mirror to fall over when I hit the first bump. That was 2 months ago. Absolutely perfect. Solid as a rock. Great product. And saved me £300.

Genuinely useless. This is called plastic weld. I used it with the intention of fixing the broken plastic chassis of a laptop, which should be light work given what it’s made to do. Putty stayed soft for 2 days and now my laptop is just splattered with this gunk on all the areas that needed to be repaired. Waste of money, use something else.

It hardened and becomes part of the broken material. Used on my cracked luggage. Works perfectly.

Expired and not working

This worked perfectly for repairing an outlet valve on a water tank. The original valve was plastic welded on and was not replaceable but this product saved the tank. The repair is holding well with no leaks. I am very happy I gave this a try!
