VonHaus Floating Shelf Bracket for Sky Box, PS4 or Xbox - Single Black Glass Mount

So I read a bunch of reviews before purchasing this that mentioned the shelf sagging at the front as it can't hold an appropriate level of weight. Its like saying a table is wonky when you've only attached 3/4 legs! The product itself is smart, solid and looks good with my Sky Q box on it. Why? Because I attached it to the wall properly.The shelf comes with wall plugs and screws for those installing the shelf on a solid wall. For most however you will probably be looking to put this on a drywall / plasterboard like me. I recommend using anchor plugs and a wall anchor setting tool. They sound scary but they're really not and you could get these for less than a tenna on Amazon. I used these and the shelf is secured nicely and takes the weight of my SkyQ box with ease... I wouldn't swing off it though!So I recommend using this shelf only if you intend on fastening it to the wall properly.

Good quality for the price. Perfect for holding a BT vision box but may be a bit flimsy for anything heavier. The glass is great quality with a tidy little transparent logo in the corner. The frame is pretty thin but does the job up to the maximum weight limit. There is sticky back foam applied to the frame to fix the glass on once you have it mounted.This will not work well if fitted to a stud wall, it must be a solid wall for the fixings to take hold.

Bought this to put sky Q box on.Wouldn’t want anything heavier like an Xbox on it as “arms “ are a bit flimsy.Having said that you get what you pay for. Shelf itself looks good, well packaged and delivered before delivery date and no damage.

I love this shelf for its appearance however, it's not very sturdy and doesn't sit quite flush or straight. Its propelled downwards slightly and no ount of adjusting will correct it. If you like the look of it, go for it, you won't be disappointed but expect to only install 1 media box on it or keep your remote controls on it! Nothing too heavy as it won't withstand much weight.

I put this up for someone for them to put their laptop on. It's strong. Very well made

Bought this item to sit under my TV with my Xbox One out of the way of the small version of me that runs around my house causing chaos.Installation was simple enough with only two screws to fix the bracket to the wall and the shelf sticks onto the bracket using dou me sided foam tape, but as soon as any weight is applied to the shelf it begins to sag and look like everything is about to slip off.Also it is impossible to fit an Xbox One onto this shelf if you also want to plug any cables into the rear of the console (kind of an important part of a console) so in the end I am now using the shelf to hold my headset and controllers to keep them out of reach.Basically don't buy this product if you actually want to put something of any weight on it.

Good packaging and timely delivery. Shelf thin profiled good quality glass, bracket is absolutely fine, uses very sticky foam type adhesive tape to fix shelf to bracket which works well - its white so I will need to blacken with felt tip pen to blend in. Bracket easy to fix to wall and very functional. All in all a very good valued and function shelf well able to support my digital box for TV - very smart.thanks

I bought this shelf to sit under my wall mounted tv in order to hold a small bluray player.It has a simple enough installation method requiring two holes be drilled into the wall in order to hold a right angled bracket. This is the only portion of the product that is attached to the wall.The black glass shelf is attached to the bracket at each side (right & left) by double sided sticky tape. The bracket portion of the product cannot be seen once the shelf is attached which offers the 'floating shelf' effect that I was hoping to achieve.I really like the overall look of the shelf once it was installed; the black glass looks really attractive and it definitely compliments our black TV which is mounted to the wall above the shelf.Once we put the bluray player onto the shelf we realised that it really will not support much weight at all. As previously mentioned the shelf only needed to support this one small player as it is used in our bedroom. Even though the player we have in there is a smaller, cheaper one which really doesn't weigh very much at all the shelf began to almost sag forward as soon as the player was put onto it. When it is removed the shelf sits straight again. We checked the screws and that the bracket had not come away from the wall in any way. But the fixings were still holding up and showing no signs of weakness or movement.The weight placed on the shelf is much below the maximum stated in the product's details so it is definitely not a case of us expecting too much from the shelf.It has now been up on our wall supporting the bluray player for several months and it is still showing no signs of movement in terms of the bracket/fixings but it is still obviously sagging down. Unfortunately this does disrupt the minimalist floating shelf look that we were aiming for.If you are only wanting to put a very minimal weight onto the shelf then it is strong enough but it definitely wouldn't hold a heavier piece of equipment, a satellite TV box for example.I actually got the shelf during a sale and paid relatively little for it which is why I was willing to overlook the issues in favour of not having to remove it and have the ugly holes in my wall to deal with. If I had paid more for it I definitely would have wanted my money back.
