Viair 00088 88P Portable Air Compressor

I first bought a Viair compressor in 2002 or 3 (I think) Since then I used it extensively off roading in the UK, Europe and 3 or 4 trips a year round the the Sahara and further south until 2014. Since my trips to the desert were curtailed due to the Libyan civil war and general associated security risks, I have used it every couple of weeks to top up my tyres until it finally died a couple of months ago.I honestly couldn't estimate how many hundreds of hours of relentless pumping it did over the years. It worked flawlessly in the heat, sand, dust, mud, driving rain, snow and ice, and it survived living in the back of various 110 Defenders for nearly two decades.Anyway it eventually died and I replaced it with a cheap standard domestic type one from by a known brand which was basically tat. I got 2 months use out of it tending to both my wife's car and mine (which has a slow puncture due to a slightly bent rim). It was slow, insanely loud and broke after maybe 10-15 uses.I treated myself to a new Viair compressor as a replacement. It's more or less the same as the one I had before but a newer model. It's quieter, seems quicker and it's shiny! I expect it to last a similar length of time. If you are considering buying a home compressor - get a Viair. They really are worth the bit extra you pay for a quality product.

This is a perfect compressor tyre inflator for my car and caravan.Really well made and works superbly.I bought a Lock On Air Chuck Tire Inflator Hose Adapter. It makes it easier and quicker to connect to the valve than the threaded connector with no pressure loss.

I've had a bit of experience with various electric tyre pumps, mostly bad.This pump is well put together and although it only does one thing - pump things up - it does it well.Highly recommended

My dad as tried it on his camper van, from 65 psi to 70 psi, 4 tyres in about 7 minutes. Perfect very happy.

It's a very good product, quick but some noisy. But excellent quality. The delivery was quick.

Absolute quality, great price of kit and very sturdy

A strong useful pump, used in mobile motorcycle tyre fitting. This will last much longer than cheaper ones. Does not connect to in car sockets , direct to battery only , too powerful for accessory sockets. Also best to have engine running while in use.Very happy with this.

Bought this to replace my old pump that served me well. The only thing that I miss is the autocut off function when I can set a desired PSI and leave the pump to do it's work.I have added a quick connect to the screw on nozzle that allows me to do all 4 tires quick without having to worry about cross threading.The bag provided is bit too small and is likely to bend the air hose into a bad acute angle, so I recommend that you get our own larger bag to store the compressor
