Standard Makita 18v li ion charger.....same goes for battery....choose the amp hour that suits your needs, higher mah longer run time but get more expensive as you go higher. I personally have 2x 3mah and 2x 5.5..... also 3 chargers..... I have around 8 LXT 18v Makita tools at hand. Saw is a great buy for the money highly recommend.

Which Mac pack case and insert tray are suitable for this saw?

Mac pac 2 and you can get specific inserts for this saw fits perfectly. I’m very happy with my saw box and insert combination use it every day. Invest in 5 or 6ah batteries if you use all day and more than one of you can
