Last longer than Ninja wood pellets, every bit as good, and last longer.
I have the Ninja Woodfire Outdoor grill and the package I bought included the 2 blends of Ninja pellets. I used the Ninja pellets to smoke pork chops on the grill which didn't take much time since I was using the grill function with smoke. Granted for true smoking you need to use the smoke function that takes much more cooking time, but the pellets from Ninja were burned out before the pork chops were done which was about 15 minutes for grilled pork chops. The Kona wood pellets are larger than the Ninja pellets and smoke for much longer. In addition, the Kona pellets are less expensive and offer wood flavors that you can choose depending on the protein you are smoking rather than the two blends that Ninja offers. I very much like that the packages for Kona pellets suggests uses for each of the wood pellets included in the grouping. I have found this to be very helpful. This group includes Hickory, Oak, Premium Blend & Sweetwood Blend.According to the package: - Hickory is good for poultry, pork, lamb, beef, and veggies - Oak is good for poultry, pork, lamb, beef, veggies, and cheese - Premium Blend is good for virtually everything, including poultry, pork, lamb, beef, veggies, cheese, and game - Sweetwood Blend is good for poultry, fish, pork, cheese, and gameI am so looking forward to trying each of these smoke flavors as I am sure each will provide a different taste experience for the different foods they are recommended for. I also bought another group of the Kona wood pellets that includes apple wood. I have used apple wood to smoke a couple of chickens and the flavor was Devine. I cut up and froze one of the chickens, and have since reheated them for dinners. The flavor was excellent. Since the winter temperatures in Illinois may not be the best for smoking, I plan to smoke at least 6 chickens to freeze for winter meals.UPDATE 09/01/24:Today, I smoked a Boston cut pork butt roast using the Hickory pellets. I used a grill temperature of 225 degrees and a probe temperature of 190 degrees. I put a rack on the grill so the bottom of the roast wouldn't burn and also to allow the smoke flavor to permeate at the bottom of the roast. It took 4 1/2 hours to cook the roast to the designated temperature. the first load of these pellets lasted over 2 hours. I added more pellets for the rest of the cook and ignited them. These lasted to the end of the cook with some to spare. When it was done, I put the roast on a cutting board and covered it with Reynolds wrap to let it rest for about 15 minutes while I finished making the sides. This allows the juices in the meat to redistribute for a moister roast. The roast had a wonderful smoked bark, and the roast was very tender, moist and tasty. The smoke flavor was perfect and not overwhelming. At 190 degrees the roast was great sliced. I think I would cook to at least 200 degrees for a roast of this type to be shredded.I am loving this grill/smoker and the Kona wood pellets.I hope this review was helpful for you.

Great flavor and a great value
I own a Ninja Woodfire Outdoor Grill and I have used both the Ninja pellets and now the Kona. The flavors for both are equally as good but the Kona burns better, last longer. I can understand why someone would think it would catch fire but as long as you don't overfill you will be fine. The Ninja pellets are cut smaller so they burn down faster which means the smoke runs out faster. If you are grilling and need the smoke flavor then that is fine and maybe that is preferable but when smoking meats, I want my smoke to last longer and not need to add pellets so I really like these Kona pellets which are just a bit larger so the burn longer. I smoked a 3 lbs. turkey breast for Christmas and the smoke flavor was delicious with the sweet blend. The price is a lot cheaper for the Kona pellets then buying the Ninja pellets so I will be using Kona from this point forward.

Awesome flavor!
When I received these pellets, I opened each bag and smelled them. I thought they did not have any smell to them. I guess I was thinking they would have a huge scent. I was a bit disappointed. So, I purchased a tri-tip roast and used the hickory ones to cook the roast on my Ninja Smoker Grill and boy was it tasty. My backyard smelled so wonderful as well. I have yet to try the other three flavors, but am expecting them to be just as good.

Nice variety, bitter at times
I use mine in the Ninja wildfire grill/smoker. These pellets are a way better value than the Ninja brand. I’ve tried 2 of the 4 blends so far. They ignite well and burn evenly, lasting for at least an hour smoke so far. No chemical smell. The only downside so far is the Oak blend imparted a little bitterness on smokes of over 1/2 hour (found this to be true on pork tenderloin and chicken breast)

Hole in bags??? Pellets not igniting
Dec 12, 2023 Update:After some diagnosis, the problem of non-ignition had to do with my Ninja smoke vent (adjacent to the pellet tray) being clogged with burnt residue. I suggest you regularly wire brush the grate screen and also as in my case poke a small screw driver thru the grate to break up any residue that lies BEHIND the screen grate. I had a piece of that was 3" long by 1" tall and thin like a piece of paper. This BLOCKED air flow which resulted in sub-par ignition and very poor smoke. Each bag has a hole in the upper right corner, is this causing moisture to get in which now makes the pallets not igniting? See pics, The hole is a perfect punch hole that probably was done during manufacturing. Two bags not usable!
