Oil tanning, which is used for fancy footware like Red Wing boots, should probably make the belt long-lasting too. Seems like the finish will be easy to clean, unlike the usual suede alternatives which can’t even get wet without staining. This thick leather (possibly full grain or something close) is bit heavier than suede, of course, but so far nothing that interferes with work/feels uncomfortable. I’d rather have something sturdier than something lighter but less durable. This sort of leather can also be conditioned. A little bit of renapur and the belt looks even more supple and nice and shiny. Pockets are well sized. Buckle is made of metal, and reinforcing rivets are a plus for durability. They are not always symmetrical but not something many people will notice—and I wouldn’t expect this degree of attention to detail from a worker’s tool belt anyway. My belt is photo 2, 3 & 4 I'm unsure if the first photo is of the same belt. The belt is a two tone leather,as in those listed above. I'm unsure how much I paid in 2016 but the belt I have is well worth the money I paid. It's a very strong belt with very thick leather, maybe to thick, it's better now than when I purchased it, softer! If you're after a good tool belt then I think this scores probably 7 out of 10, yes there are better ones out there but they cost much more. I opted for this as my friend and Co worker has had the same one for over a decade. It has all the pockets I need for my fence building hand tools. Having a hammer loop and pencil storage on both sides is also very convenient. I would say that this would not be suitable for slimmer people as I'm a 36 waist and had to add a couple of new holes.
