My wife tells me this smells nicer than other similar products.

First thing to mention is that this oil has a very faint scent, I've noticed a few others has mentioned it as well.You do have to apply quiet a bit before you can smell itThe oil itself is amazing though!, it's put a stop to the itchy dry skin and keeps my beard soft, for the price this is a bargain compared to others on the market.If you're after a cheap effective beard oil then pick this up, if you're after a scented one then I'd recommend shopping for a different one.I apply it twice daily, Once after my evening shower and again in the morning before starting the day.

Just what l wanted

Having had a beard for more years than I care to count, I consider myself a bit of an expert when it comes to beard grooming. Living in the back end of nowhere and having to rely heavily on mail order, I tend to buy products that are highly recommended and the choice to try this beard oil was based on the number of positive reviews it has. My wife tells me that not all perfumes smell the same on different ladies and I suppose this must apply to scented beard oils too. First impressions were not great as the bottle looked cheap and the plastic flip top was either already broken or broke immediately on opening it. Sadly, after applying a first time liberal amount, I have to say I wasn’t blown away by the scent of this oil. This was backed up by the lack of swooning ladies falling over themselves to get a better ‘sniff’ of my beard. OK, I can dream but it is true that my wife asked me to wash it off and neither of our ‘any excuse for a cuddle’ spaniels were impressed. They usually give my beard a thorough sniff test and show their approval by attempting to lick it. However, their reaction to this beard oil was one sniff and total avoidance! I found the oil to be the ‘oiliest’ product I have tried for a long time, necessitating immediate hand washing to get the residue off.Conclusion based on my experience: Price? Definitely not worth it. Application? Difficult to get out of the very cheap bottle and too thick and oily. Scent? OK if you want to smell as though you’ve dried your beard with a musty old towel. Or maybe I just received a bottle that had been around too long. First time I’ve ever thrown something in the bin after only one application!
