Well made. Don't feed more than one layer of leaf, gets very hard to turn.

Aluminum construction. If everything is not aligned perfectly it leaves very small aluminum shavings in tobacco. Cleaning combs bend, cutter plugs and the handle screw twists off.

Have used this machine and works well.

It is not a very high quality or sturdy shredder. It is good for a starter shredder, if you're wanting to see if shredding your own whole leaf tobacco is what you want to do. That's why I bought this one.It worked well for a little while. The clamp is not very straight so it is hard to get it to stay put. The teeth on the combs all bent during the first shredding session. I had to disassemble it and straighten/adjust the teeth before using it again. This is a common maintenance thing with shredders but it ended up being an issue every time it was used.The main support bar bent eventually and the handle came completely off quite often. You can get it back on for now but I don't know how long that will last.It got me through my trial phase and I bought a more expensive, better machine with the money I saved. So it ended up doing what I really required of it, it just didn't look or function the same way as it did the first time.I rated it three stars because I would recommend it to someone who's on the fence about doing their own and just wants to try it out without breaking the bank. I dinged it the two stars for its cheap construction. Even for the price it could be constructed better.For now it will be my backup shredder on standby in case something goes wrong with my main one.
