Overall a great hair brush, ideal for men. Pins massage the scalp and the wooden handle is light yet sturdy. Surprised at the high quality.

I have been using this brush for a few months now, so happy to report on how it's been.Positives:Great build quality, comfortable handle, soft rounded bristles, had a lovely scent on use. Sourced more locally, so a lower carbon footprint, that was an important factor for me - despite the cost.Negatives:Price, for this I would have expected replacement bristles and maybe some soap... Loss of lovely scent! Such a minor thing, which if you clean and use a scented soap will help, but wouldn't be the same. I'd love to know what they used!Despite initial concerns for using a wooden brush, the comfort and ease of use - yes I did mean that, has been really welcomed. I have thin hair, so dealing with knots was easy. My partner, who has think hair tried it at the start and thought the same, so is considering one.

Really gorgeous brush, so gentle on hair, comes with a lovely bag too. Highly recommend.

Excellent quality. Obviously a luxury item but worth it for long hair as you're using it a lot and it's a very intimate item.

I had a large oval TEK brush but after 6 months the rubber seemed to be degrading and the pins were dropping into it constantly, the rubber cushion was not evenly conical/round when I first received it but I am putting it down as a one off as I have never heard any bad reviews on TEK. I purchased the previous brush through a shop on amazon, so I made sure to buy from the actual TEK shop on amazon, even though it was a bit more costly as I knew the brush would be in perfect condition. I bought the paddle style this time thinking the rubber is flatter (not conical/round like it is on a oval brush) so perhaps it would be more durable. There are a lot of differences between the two styles I have used, there is less give on the paddle as the cushion is much flatter and much less pneumatic. This means it doesn't feel as soft as the oval as the pins do not move up and down as much when brushing so it feels harder on the scalp. When I used the oval there was a rushing air/squeak noise when brushing my scalp but not on this one, that shows the difference in the amount of movement in the cushion. I recommend the paddle if you have straight hair or need minimal detangling. Oval is better when you have more curls or knots as it has more give and won't pull on the hair. I highly recommend TEK as the pins are very soft and there is no rough area on the brush (like a lot of lesser quality brushes) so they are gentle on the hair. Would never use another brand.

I’ve wanted one of these tek brushes for years after following “holistic habits” on YouTube and finally got round to treating myself to one (and a comb)The benefits are to prevent breakages, to stop the hair splitting and to prevent the hair going static, all of which you get from plastic brushes. The brush is great, excellent quality, glides through my hair without making it go static and the wood SMELLS amazing! I have very fine and long hair, so it breaks very easily but not with this brush.I bought the comb too so I can comb my hair safely when it’s wet, without breaking it. Both great products and the brush came with a handy little bag to keep it in good condition.The only huge shame is that it came with a pin missing, which is the only reason why this product does not get a full 5 stars from me.I would 100% recommend this brush but advise anyone buying the product to ensure they ask that the product is quality control checked first so that there are no pins missing!

This brush is ergonomics at its best! It’s so lovely to hold and use. It snags longer hair so a round paddle brush would probably suit longer tresses better. But for shorter cuts it’s absolutely perfect. The wooden bristles are delightfully stimulating on the scalp without hurting or damaging hair or skin.To clean it I hold my finger over the air hole (don’t like the idea of water inside the hairbrush) and use an old toothbrush up and down the length of the brush to clean between the bristles with some Castile soap. Easy peasy. I love this hairbrush and, having owned one before I can say TEK lasts a lot longer than the suggested two years.

At first the brush looks good quality but just after 1 month one of the bristles broke in half. I have very frizzy hair and one of the reasons I bought this brush was because its antistatic, well I have never in my life had a brush that caused no much static on my hair like this one. Im quite disappointed.
