JAY-BE Value Folding Bed with Rebound e-Fibre Mattress, Fabric, Black, Easy Storage

Very good. It has been used on numerous occasions. Good value for money. Very comfortable, and a good size.

We bought this for those occasions when my nephews come to stay, and they love it. As does my wife (5'4"), who used it when she was parent helper at cub camp. Despite the thin mattress (which makes it super-easy to fold away), the sprung base of this single bed, makes it extremely comfortable. When not in use, the bed folds down really thin (approx. 10cm), so it slides easily under the bed, taking up minimal space.

This is a small double, one of the springs unhooks itself when you fold it up but easily put back. The little clips to hold it together when closed are flimsy and easily lost- one broke when it arrived, and the other has been misplaced now. The mattress is thin and you can feel the main bar when moving around but this is not too noticeable/ uncomfortable and you certainly get a decent sleep on here. It is a little low, so anyone with knee issues will have problems getting off it. It is generally useable for family visiting for a few nights, and folds up to be stored. I purchased this discounted from Amazon and paid £70 which I think is a decent price. I know they are sold at more than £100 which I feel is pricey. Overall happy with purchase.

Having used Jay-Be beds over many years I’ve found that this newer design needs the muscles of a body builder to close the bed up for storage having said that the bed is comfy especially with the memory foam mattress I did contact Jay-Be customer services who told me this is normal and eventually it will get easier well having used it over several week ends it’s still proving to provide a great workout. But I would still recommend the bed as it is a comfy sleep.

We had an adult with a large set build, use this bed while staying with us for two weeks! The trampoline style base is strong and sturdy! Never stretched at all perfect guest bed!! Comfortable mattress too. Easy to fold out and pack away!

Really handy, mattress too soft

If it was possible, I would not give this particular item even one star. When item removed from box, one of the plastic clips holding bed together was broken and the second one snapped as I removed it. I followed the instructions to put the bed up but found every time I flipped it over the legs folded in and it was impossible to get the bed to stand up. Phoned Jay-Be who told me I needed to place weights on either end of the bed for a couple of hours and then it would not fold in on itself. No where in the leaflet accompanying the bed did it mention the necessity of this step before the bed would stand without folding in on itself. They offered to send replacement clips in the post but that was extent of their assistance and obviously the broken clips were not the primary concern. I tried to do as advised, opening out the legs of the bed, but the central leg then sprang out of the socket and it was impossible to get back in. Phoned the company again who said it was 'most unusual' - I should take it up with Amazon who had sold the bed to me & request a replacement, as Jay-Be had none of my details. Looked at the returns\refund on Amazon & was able to repack the defective item and arrange for next day collection by Hermes - very efficient on Amazon's part! I will get a full refund once they receive the item back but nevertheless, the whole purchase debacle was time consuming and I was left without the bed that I had wanted for visiting guests.I would not recommend the poor support received from the manufacturer.

Great little bed for a short term visitor. More efficient than a blow up and by all accounts it delivered a great nights sleep. Easy to assemble and very sturdy. On that basis I'll give it 10/10
