Air Pilot's Manual - Flying Training: Volume 1

This book is essential for all new trainee pilots. I highly recommend buying it *before* starting your PPL flying lessons so that you know what to expect in your flying lessons. It'll save you money on your training if you know what's going to happen before each lesson, so read up and be prepared! You can use it in conjunction with a simulator (e.g. X Plane, P3D, FSX) and together they'll prepare you well for the real world.

This is a good book for anyone who wants to take up flying either as a hobby or a career, it gives a good grounding in many areas of aviation and is a good resource for those starting their flying lessons

Great first approach to everyone wanting to pursue a Private Pilot Licence. According to a certified friend Pilot, something to start reading before going to flight school because it will give you a good overview on what's coming.

Really well written with clear descriptions and diagrams. It's targeted to work in conjunction with lessons, but due to bad weather I've been reading well ahead and find it a useful and interesting read.

Wer Literatur für den praktischen Teil des Fliegens während der Ausbildung haben möchte, der ist hier richtig. Das Buch diskutiert sowohl die Manöver mit den notwendigen Handgriffen (inklusive Mixture) und gibt ausführliche Grafiken, teilweise sogar über eine Doppelseite. Es geht hier eher um die Standard-Übungen (Kurve, Steilkurve, Gleiten, Stall, Spin usw.). Wer die amerikanischen Advanced Übungen (Lazy Eight, Chandelles etc.) sucht, der wird hier nicht fündig.
