Perfect!
I wish I had discovered this product ages ago!I used to use a well-known brand clear embossing pen to draw (which was perfectly fine, if a little thick on the lines) and then emboss with black powder. It didn't matter how much anti-static and care I took, I was always ending up with tiny spots of black outside of the main picture. This pen is perfect because I can draw fine or thicker lines, emboss with clear powder and not have to worry about black spots. I was a bit concerned that some parts of the ink would dry whilst I was drawing an entire picture outline, but it was fine. It all worked on my first go.Note to store the pen horizontally to keep it working well.

great idea
Great idea, allows me to do some very intricate embossing and also to fill in where there is obviously a lack of the glue as sometimes happens

It’s not clear
I used it on a pink flower and some parts went blue only used once so far but that’s why only 4 stars

Very useful.
If you're writing a handwritten message when making a card, this is an ideal pen to use embossing powder and heat gun (crafting heat gun of course, not one out of your toolshed, you DON'T want to burn the house down 😀😀😀).

It's not clear, it's blue!
The pen design works really well. It enabled me to go over a fine sentiment die cut and emboss with white pearl embossing powder. However, the ink is not clear, it is blue. It went on as blue, which I thought was cool feature so you could tell where you had added the ink. However, it did not dry clear. I wondered if the embossing powder had been melted too early, so I drew some lines next to it to check. These did not dry clear either. The photo shows the embossed writing along with the the lines above, and also a snowflake I embossed with the same powder (using an ink pad and stamp), to show that it was not the order.Do not waste your money on this product unless you want a blue finish. Hopefully I can contact the seller to get them to replace it get my money back.

the Ranger pens are far better quality even if the price is higher and they ...
Unlike some other brands of embossing pen I've used, this tends to dry out wicked fast even with small embellishments. By the time I've written or drawn a small design quickly, the embossing powders or glitters are already not sticking to it ending up with me doing it again and getting glitter on the pen. Sometimes then its still not quite as old as should be.In my opinion, the Ranger pens are far better quality even if the price is higher and they come in sets of two (one being black). Not really impressed with this one.

Brilliant for repairing/fixing embossed images
Brilliant for touching up embossed areas! I made a card that involved stamping and embossing, and then using watercolour paints and inks as a background. Which worked perfectly. And then, because I'm far too impatient, I turned the heat tool on the background to dry that quicker. Which would have been fine, had I not started touching the background to check it was dry, and managed to smear the newly re-melted embossing powder ( :-O ) and put a nice fingerprint pattern in another area. Luckily, I remembered I had this pen, and drew over the smeared bit, and over the fingerprint, reapplied powder and heat, and hey presto! It looked as good as new.I also used it to write text and emboss that - the ink is tinted slightly blue but I was using darker powders plus I quite liked being able to see what I'd written and where. The powder stuck to about 95% of it (other reviewers said it dries quite quickly) so I just used the heat gun on it, drew over the bits that were missing and some of the little gaps, added more powder and used the heat gun again. It's really good at filling in the gaps as well as 'repairing' an imperfect embossed imagePlus for £2, it's an absolute bargain
