They are oke,but if you use just for car, cheaper will be better!

Contact Sandisk if you don't get any joy. The stick has a lifetime guarantee and Sandisk will simply replace it after asking you to follow some straight forward instructions

I read that the certified operating temperature range is from 0º c to 25º c. has anyone used this item at lower ambient temperatures (below -15c)?

Nope, but I have used them in warmer climates where the air temperature is +35º c. It does boot a little slower (Used it for newer MacOS, when I keep an older version on my main drive knowing that updating the OS would mean more hardware resources for operating system and less for productivity.
