I have swung between various shaving methods over the years, the prospect of being able to save time by shaving in the shower drew me to wet/dry shavers. Having owned a battery model Braun for some years which I occasionally used and tried in the shower (it is also a wet/dry model) I decided to go for a more expensive model. So far I have been impressed with the performace of this shaver, there is a small switch on the front to retract the first foil and the centre cutter, leaving the second foil exposed to gain access to tricky areas such as under the nose. Three lights tell me when it is charged or needs charging- they flash while the shaver is in use and continue to do so for a few seconds after switching it off. The actual shave it gives is as good as you'll get with this type of shaver - there will always be a slightly rouch feel but it's not visible to others and maybe a few hairs in awkward areas will be left but I've yet to find a foil shaver that can remove these so it's not a fault with this model.The one I received was slightly different to the picture, as stated in the description "colour may vary". I got a dark blue one with chrome trim that I think looks flashier than the one pictured, but that's matter of personal preference. So far I've charged it once and haven't had to again -I've bene using it a few days now. Charging is just a case of drop it into the stand and leave it for an hour anyway (it comes with a "smart charger" which senses when the battery is full and shuts down so no issue with leaving it on all day while at work for example). There is no protective cover for the foils but it does come with a travel case as others have stated.In summary , this is a nice shaver not too expensive but feels well made and is very nice to use. It also lok the part if you're into aesthetics.

To begin with, I have been a traditional razor + wet shaver all my life. This is only my second electric shaver - ever. My first was a rotary (Phillips) and stopped using it after a couple of weeks. After over 8+ years I decided to try again and went with this one. My first shave was slightly disappointing - I did not get the baby-bottom finish which I expect from my razor. But I decided to persevere. After nearly 3+ months of regular use this shaver has grown on me.Though not quite on the same level as a razor in smoothness, this comes a fairly close second. BUT It beats the razor on several fronts. Less paraphernalia - shaving cream/ brush/ first aid kit/ etc are no longer required. Especially no more expensive razor heads! Granted, a charger is required - but I need it once in about 4 weeks (at 2-3 shaves in a calendar week). It charges back to full in 1 hour. I simply plug it in when i wake up and it's a max by the time I am dressed. Shave Time - I have settled down to a start to finish time of about 3 to 4 minutes (without hurrying) plus further 1-2 minutes to wash up the shaver head. Time - I've learnt to shave without looking in a mirror (using the free hand to feel for areas needing more shaving). So I can get the shaving done anywhere (loo/ shower or in front of the mirror) saving me time. Safety - no nicks and cuts!I've also purchased the Braun BT32 Series 3 Electric Shaver Beard Trimmer Attachment for Braun Series 3 and often use it to tidy up my bangs and at times my head hair (I keep a very low size cut, way shorter than most beards I have seen).So all in all, It has added quite a bit of convenience to my "hair care". And reduced the number of pieces I have to carry in my travel pouch by about 4. It's very easy to clean, is very sturdy and the battery lasts reasonably long. So I am fairly happy with the product.

As a bald person, this product is an important find for me. This Braun S3 is a wet and dry shaver, I can use it in the shower. The marking blade on the back is perfect for my use.
