## Description

Product description Kerrang Vol.2 2CD Universal Music TV, 585 763-2, 2001, DBL 38 Track .co.uk Big tunes for big shorts--that's the basic theme of both volumes of Kerrang! The Album. Like Volume 1, Volume 2 is packed with more contemporary rock and metal anthems for the kids, and drawn from some of the scene's biggest names in 2001. And this compilation really seems to have the scene sussed: from the comic-book Goth of Marilyn Manson ("Disposable Teens") to the roadhouse rowdiness of Buckcherry ("Lit Up"), and from the geek rock of Weezer ("Hash Pipe") to the fratboy shoutiness of Limp Bizkit ("Rollin'"). The volume ranges from loud (Wheatus' "A Little Respect") to louder (Muse's "Plug In Baby") to loudest (Slipknot's "Wait and Bleed"), with neither time nor space for soppy ballads. The two CDs on Kerrang! The Album 2 should keep any angry young man or woman happily bouncing around the room for hours. --Ted Kord

    Good but not Great

Here is the song listIn a typical fashion and unlike the previous "Master Of Puppets" Kerrang tribute effort, this one is a mix and match of the knowns and up and coming bands. Highlights include Rise To Remain, who feature Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson's son, only if they had managed to get Motorhead's version it would have been a better start. The Defiled make "The Unforgiven" their own, which is a good move while Motionless In White's version of "My Friend Of Misery".has Chris Motionless trying his damnedest to sound like James Hetfield. Indeed until the last verse, it's difficult to tell that it is Chris singing at all. Overall, it's interesting but not as good as the original and while it has introduced me to Evile and reminded me just how good The Defiled were, it's not as good as the afore mentioned "Master Of Puppets" tribute.1 –Rise To Remain Enter Sandman2 –Your Demise Sad But True3 –Devildriver Holier Than Thou4 –The Defiled The Unforgiven5 –Yashin Wherever I May Roam6 –Hawk Eyes Don't Tread On Me7 –Evile Through The Never8 –Lostalone Nothing Else Matters9 –Savage Messiah Of Wolf And Man10 –Black Spiders The God That Failed11 –Motionless In White My Friend Of Misery12 –Devil Sold His Soul The Struggle Within

    Kerrang The Album

Had this album many years ago, and made the mistake of letting a friend borrow it. It was returned in one hell of a mess after many drunken parties. The album is that good, I had to own it again! (And this time no one is getting to borrow it). CD arrived promptly and was as described. Would deffo buy from this seller again! Cheers!

    Typical compilation

Kerrang have been doing this for years and can only be seen as a introduction to bands you may not heard of or even attempt to buy. It contains the big players like 30 seconds to mars, slipknot, Linkin park, my chemical romance, Biffy clyro and green day but there are some that you would loosely class as metal.Fall out boy and Enter Shakiri are two that impressed me enough to purchase some of there material so the Kerrang effect did take place.a good album with a good mix. Worth the purchase.
