I can’t believe I made butter
Absolutely amazing, this device is a game changer. I made my own organic butter with Celtic sea salt and it only took 3 minutes of churning in this device. I left the organic double cream out of the fridge for two hours, poured it into the churner and voila! Organic butter & buttercream, rinsed the butter in ice water and added sea salt. The device is solid, all fittings secure, packed well, easy to use & clean. Comes with a little book with simple instructions.I highly recommend this device, the butter dish & paddles. You can purchase everything you see in my pictures right here on Amazon. No more shop bought butter for me 😉👏🏼👏🏼

Old school is gold
I loved the butter churned the old school way. My mum couldn’t believe you can make butter at home, but it came out great! Good work out for arms! Lol

Home made butter is the best !
This is a fantastic product. Incredibly easy to make butter and it now takes me about 8 minutes to convert double cream into the creamiest butter you could want. Tips on use - try to have it on a hard surface when you're churning (not on your lap in front of the TV as I did first time) - it's just easier to churn and seems to turn into butter faster when it's on a solid surface. Don't be afraid to have a peek into the jar mid-churn to see how it's doing. My first go I have several peeks and pokes and it didn't seem to adversely affect the final product - although it did take the best part of an hour to churn ! I've now tried all available double creams in Sainsburys and Tescos - I was surprised to see the organic / higher quality looking creams had higher fat and sugar contents. I tried Elmlea - it takes up to an hour to churn and then you get about a third of the butter you get with the same amount of conventional cream. I now use the standard own brand double creams and it churns in about 8 minutes. The butter milk is delicious to drink or can be used in cooking. (I put muslin over a jug / bowl then pour the butter and butter milk in, lifting the butter out in the muslin). And I've found that rinsing the butter whilst it's still in the muslin means you don't lose any and is less hassle then trying to rinse it in the jar, as is recommended. The churner itself feels quite sturdy.

Not quite as advertised and lied about delivery
The product says it includes paddles in the description BUT THESE ARE NOT BUTTER PADDLES !It refers to the mechanism, NOT butter paddles for patting the butter. It's just the jar.Don't be fooled !!Also, the delivery time was given as 3.30pm to 6.30pm. I waited in but had to leave at 6.30pm, the delivery hadn't arrived.I now see that the delivery driver lied by saying the item was handed to resident. It wasn't. It was left on my drive and I found it there at 11.30pm when I got home. Lying by delivery drivers is not acceptable. Poor all round on this on,Amazon

It works
This is a game changer for me. I purchased the butter churner partly for fun & to save money on purchasing pre made butter!. My 1st attempt was perfect!. Very easy to use & now I'm able to make my own different flavoured butters, i.e garlic, pepper, herbs & of cause Brandy Butter for the up & coming Christmas celebrations.

It work's but I would buy a better made one
The Kilner Butter Churner does in face churn milk in to butter and butter milk. However, for the amount of money and the reputation that Kilner has I expected more from the it. On its first use I had to tighten the screws as the outside crank handle was loose, wobbly and eventually stopped turning the mechanism/cogs and thus the paddles. I have used it to make 3 more butter pats and had to do the same thing each time. Also, the bits of metal that clip the top bit on to the jar is aligned with the crank and everytime it goes round I am hitting it with the crank or my fingers - not ideal.BUT I have made butter and I am enjoying the process of doing so. On this note, the simple instructions say that it will make whipped cream, get thick and yellow then just keep going and you will have butter. This is true, however there is an extra step to watch out for. After it looks a bit like overwhipped cream I have found that it then goes smooth again and then you need to keep whipping and it will become a little curdled then in seconds become butter. It is very fun to see it change and I love the excess buttermilk for baking.Another top tip - but a bit of warm water in the jar to warm it all up before you add your room temp cream. This will help it all to stay warmer and keep it moving as the paddles are not quite large enough to reach the edges. Sometimes you will end up with the whipped cream stuck to the edge and need to scrape it back in to the middle. But, when I preheat the churner I have found this happens alot less and churns the butter quicker.

Great gift for anyone who likes to make their own food
I bought this for my mother and she absolutely loves it! It's a great tool for making homemade butter, it's easy to use and the results are great. The churner is made of durable glass and it comes with a special lid that keeps the butter inside while it's churning. The handle is easy to grip and the churning process is smooth and consistent. My mother has used it to make butter with different kinds of cream and it works great every time. The butter comes out creamy and delicious. Clean up is easy too, just rinse it out and it's ready to use again.I'm so impressed by this churner that I'm tempted to get one for myself, it's a great addition to any kitchen, especially for those who enjoy making their own butter.
