A compact budget friendly speaker
I purchased these to replace a sound bar that I was using as a pair of speakers after the built-in amp failed. The sound bar sat behind the tv above my work bench but needing more room the tv was mounted on the wall so I started looking for a pair of bookshelf speakers I could also mount on the wall. After a long time searching online through various outlets I found these on Amazon the reviews were good and one review said they benefit greatly being paired with a subwoofer, my setup has a subwoofer so they were ordered. When they arrived I was surprised by the weight, cheap speakers normally have no weight to them. What is not mentioned in the listing is the hanging fixture on the back, just what I needed, no need to put up a couple of small shelves for them.No wire is included with the speakers but the cost of the cable is only a few pounds .After mounting the speakers and connecting to my 2.1 amplifier and powering it on I was very impressed with the clarity of the sound, after a quick rebalance with the sub they provide a much needed upgrade. The sound from the sound bar was reasonable but with a sub these little speakers are excellent with nice crisp highs and well defined mid tones even at higher volume levels, they also look good.I mounted them with self adhesive hooks but after some consideration I put a screw through each of the hooks as I have had them let go after a few weeks.I would highly recommend these speakers as they are easy to setup (just connect them) and place them where you need them and enjoy your music

Pack a punch!!
The media could not be loaded. Bought these for my Brennan B2.I will be honest,at first I wasn't too impressed. The set up was simple but the sound quality was not the best. But for £20 odd quid I couldn't really complain. THEN...someone suggested installing the EQ for the B2. Wow! These little buggers came to life. Decent bass was all it needed. Very very impressed. My missus, meh not so much.In a small room 80w is pretty loud. Linked it up to the lights and....boom havin a rave!!! Seriously, if you need a set of speakers for a compact sound system get these. They need an amp tho. And a decent EQ. I cannot believe these were only £22!!!Solid little things as well good weight to them.Yup well impressed. The sound in the video does not do justice. You can see how small they are compared to a regular coke can.

Good cheap speakers
Good cheap speakers, can take power (I thought my Acoustic Solutions SP101 amp would be too much for them but it was good), though a bit dull in the high frequencies. Could do with a bit more treble response and also some more mounting options. These speaker enclosures are just a plastic shell which is quite "slippery" as in there isn't much grip on the surface. I would use them in conjunction with a subwoofer and not as stand alone full range.Due to their small size, they aren't quite as sensitive and responsive in the bass and lower midrange as most bookshelf speakers but still get decently loud. You can get some bass response through them down to about 60-70 Hz although at higher volumes you're better off filtering out the lows.I tried them using a 31 band EQ on my DBX Driverack PA+ for fun and some treble EQ brought them to life. They served quite well on vocal duty in church after I had made some wooden adapters and tilt-able mounts to fit them on my speaker stands attaching them with zip ties. I also tried them with my subwoofers crossed at 140Hz and could get quite a good sound turning down the midbass on the subwoofers and phase aligning. It almost created the illusion that low bass was coming from them (I wonder whether these would sell for more re-badged with the Bose logo)

Excellent !
As the years have gone by, only our 1990's Sony Megastor jukebox, (stackable hifi CD player) survived the various house move 'purges.' As it houses over 300 CDs it is great for background 'random' play music when friends come around. Successfully plugged into the back of various TVs, via its two RCA plugs, it could be selected via the TVs 'component' function, which provided the amplifier function for it. Following the demise of our old TV, my wife decided it was no longer to 'feature' in that area of our living room. I purchased a Lepy LP-2020A as a solution for an old hifi separate needing an amplifier, like us when we no longer had a TV option to connect it to. You can take your 'seperate' into your man cave etc, with your box of CDs and have the music YOU want to listen to ! I teamed it up with a pair of e audio 4" speakers, and just needed some bare ended cabled to link into the quickfit sockets. The setup just described, gives a real crisp sound, with an option for volume that you would have experienced in your youth, and the sound quality through these speakers, REALLY is great !

Get what you pay for...
Reading some of the reviews I was expecting these to break the mould somewhat, and impress me with the quality v cost level, but the reality is that they're exactly what I would expect from a £25 set of speakers. They're not terrible, they're just not good enough for my expectations.Definitely lacking in bass, as you would expect. Treble is a bit tinny with some frequencies, mids seem reasonably accurate, but the clarity and precision is overall basically there making them OK for general TV/Movies.

Great sound from a small price.
I bought these for a back room where background music is usually on. Well, I was surprised as to just how good they were for the price. Okay, they are not "top of the range hi-fi" speakers, but for what I wanted.....perfect.
