REVIEW BY MARY:I've been pretty pleased with this hot/cold gel pack. The inner gel bag itself is quite durable; my previous two lasted for years of occasional use before the gel bags split eventually (I mainly used them as hot packs). They heat up very quickly in the microwave, which is handy.The outer wrap is pretty comfortable, made of fairly soft material, which is important for me as I mainly use it around my neck when I am feeling chilled (this tends to warm me up quickly). I have found it helpful to alter it slightly by rounding the very end of the velcro part with scissors. After doing this, it's been comfortable enough that I've fallen asleep wearing it! ;)So overall a big thumbs up! :)

I ordered these limb supports after a recent hamstring strain, and have found them to be extremely beneficial.The support itself is well made, and after repeated use is as good as ever. The outside material I suppose reminds me of soft towling material. The inner side is a thinner perforated material to allow the hot/cold packs to work effectively.I leave the ice packs in the black holder when I chill in the freezer, and having two makes life easier as you can alternate and always have one chilling ready to use.Out of the freezer they are a little stiff to be expected, but after a few minutes they become plyable. One note I always used on top of clothing as straight from freezer would be uncomfortable on bare skin. I would cradle around the back of the thigh, then using the elasticated strap wrap around as appropriate. I would tend to add a little extra tensions as I found the compression support combined with the cooling very effective for me. I also found the velcro held securely an did not drift down the leg.I really think these supports hastened my recovery, and I continue to use after a long work day if I feel any aches or pains. 5 stars.

This is a great set of packs which I use to reduce painful joint swellings after exercise. Having two of them is great - can always have one in the freezer and one wrapped around me.They're large, flexible and comfortable, and fairly easily moulded even when completely frozen, and the velcro straps hold firmly without causing problems when you are wrapping yourself up. But they're large - and hold the temperature really well - so would not use in head applications for example (which is what I originally bought them for).

Good. Would be helpful though if the strap was fully detachable so that the pouch could be used with or without it. If trying to simply lie the pad on the muscle the strap can get in the way. I had previously bought a similar product where the strap had Velcro at both ends so could be taken off and it was really useful. I thought this was the same but the strap is sewn in at one end. It's still a good product though.

Purchased these for someone with a knee injury and on the whole they are pretty good. Mostly used chilled in the freezer for maximum of two hours as instructed. Should be noted that when attempting to wrap around knee, leg, arms and similar in their chilled form they tend to be less flexible and put pressure on the skin when formed around your leg or arm - using a bag of peas would not create this problem. Maybe the answer is to put small bags of peas in the sleeves and not use the gel packs! anyway, they were reasonably priced and work pretty much as expected.

Really recommend these wraps, comfortable and easy to apply and wear. With the detachable packs living in the freezer they are always available

I've been playing contact sport for over 20 years and this is the best ice pack I have ever had. The pack itself is made of strong durable material. It becomes very malleable after crushing it, but still stays cold for a considerable amount of time. I have also taken it from frozen to heat in a couple of minutes in the microwave. The elasticated Velcro sleeve is also great for keeping the pack close to your injury. All round excellent, and the price is great, I would not spend any more on anything else, you will not find better.

Bought these for hot and cold compressions on my bad knees. Glad I did as they work great. I keep one in the freezer all the time and the other is handy for heating in the microwave. You can use either for both freezing or heating. the straps are nice and long too. I can easily get the strap around my back for hot and cold compressions on my back. Will fit anywear on the body no matter what size you may be. Buy it, you won't be disappointed. No more aches and pains. Brilliant.
