Removal does take paint off if not careful. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Command strips are great but approximately 5 years. *by M***B on 3 July 2025* We've had a lot of success with Command Strips. holding picture frames and hooks of all weights. They work brilliantly and, most importantly, typically don't leave a mark on the wall upon removal. However, we're finding they appear to have a lifespan of around 5 years. We've unfortunately had several picture frames fall and a hook come loose after the adhesive started to fail around that mark. While we've switched to pins for our many frames, we've chosen to replace the Command Strip on the hook. I would still highly recommend Command Strips if you have just a few items to hang – they are fantastic.
