One of the painful lessons I learnt soon after buying this camera is how fragile it can be. I'd placed it down next to my son and he'd knocked it over, scratching the lens, which was very noticeable in shots. While looking online, I saw that people in South Korea could get it fixed locally, but for UK users I needed to send it off. Sadly, Samsung support couldn't fix it (they didn't even know it was a camera and kept - three times - sending it to tablet repair shops), till eventually an engineer did the decent thing and RMA's it and they sent me a new one.Since then, I've tried to keep the lens as protected as possible. This hood gives a tight fit and protects the lens while travelling, while the sleeve gives a good grip and makes it slightly less obvious...well, as much as walking round with a mushroom shaped camera can be (been thinking should make it look more like a one eyed alien so it's less phallic).The downside is how dusty the inside of the rubber hood gets. The cameras design - it has a very short focal range to give a wide shot - means photos are very susceptible to anything on the lens. While the scratch was a terminal issue, dust from this hood just requires a clean with the fabric case every time it's used. It's not a major issue, but does slow things down when you have to wipe it clean every time you take it out your pocket.This is my second hood, having dropped the first one while filming on a dark evening; I wouldn't take the camera out without one.

This is really nice protection for the Gear 360(2017) allows you to pop it in the pocket with not too much worry. Its too much of a faff to remove the main body skin for shooting and you would leave it on all the time. However, I don't think it helps with the known overheating issues with the gear so I personally now only use the top element to protect the glass covers. They can attract a bit of dust on the inside so the glass typically needs a quick clean when you take it off before use. However, I like the lens cover element that much i would buy it just for that and I would put this on the must buy accessory list.

Protects the camera. Good a bit tight in the sock that comes with the camera, but very useful outside this for short term protection whilst on site.

The material is white cheap. It Will break after a few usages.
