## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is it 8 or 6 chisel set title says 8 but description says 6**
A: comprising six chisels (blade widths: 6, 12, 20, 26, 32 and 38mm), honing guide and aluminium oxide sharpening stone

**Q: What size is the oilstone please?**
A: The stone is 8ins x 2ins x 1inch

**Q: Can any kind of oil be used with the stone supplied with this? If so, what?**
A: Oilstones are basically an American invention. They were designed for use with what the UK calls paraffin, in order to wash the dirt off and keep the surface sharp. If you use any form of lubricating oil, the stone quickly clogs and stops working.

**Q: Can I use a hammer with this set?**
A: Hi Jimbo these are quality chrome vanadium and do not have a striking dome. they are for woodworking chisels and you can use a wooden or rubber mallet. if you need to use a striking hammer b&q do a set with metal domes but you would probably need to sharpen them more often. hope this helps 4036johnm

It's what you would expect from anything made by Draper, great chisel sett, well made and excellent quality. Would recommend.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A worthwhile purchase.
*by A***R on 4 March 2023*

I bought a set of cheap chisels from one of the diy sheds and they truly were rubbish. They bent like chocolate. Knowing my job was likely to be a one off I bought these to get the job done in the belief that they would be sturdier and should be given the difference in price. Draper have come a long way and the quality of their tools is improving. These are well made and come in a study box with all the sharpening aids. This brings me to my only criticism; I found that I had to sharpen my tools before I could use them. I was only cutting out the rebates for my new door hinges in soft wood door frames but the tools needed honing and weren't really up to the job straight out of the box. However once sharpened they performed well. I would buy these again if needed. More expensive than some you can buy but DON'T buy the cheapies. ...it's a false economy.
