Smooth gear change
SRAM PC850 design looks the same as Shimano HG40, which means that both are suitable for "hyper glide", translated from salesman's jargon as better gear change. There is a feel of quality in this product, excellent consistency along the whole chain, lubricated with something sticky, excellent connection link, packaging is nice. PC850 is the cheapest in the range for "chrome hardened" pins, which is a step up in quality compared to now discontinued PC830. I did not choose PC870 only because it was not available for quick delivery. Slightly better KMC X-series chains are more expensive and not necessary for this particular bike. Installation is simple; make sure to count the links in the original chain and remove a few from the new chain to match the length. For this they sell a special tool, but can be done with a small allen bit, hammer and a support piece with a hole (I use a small socket).

Tough chain with quick join link - recommended for 6, 7 and 8 speed bikes
I used this for several years (until I changed my driveline for 10 speed).I rode the London-to-Brighton with this chain (and, yes, I did pedal up the "Beacon")also used it for my Randonneur-qualifying 200km (125 mile) ride.Survived several winters of salted roads, despite my pretty minimalist approach to regular bike maintenance.I checked it with a chain wear gauge, and there is still plenty of life left in it, so it now lives in the garage as a "spare".It will fit 6,7 and 8 speed bikes and is FAR easier to clean than a chain without a special "quick link".Recommended.

Easy fitting with quick release link
This is a chain for your bike it also has a quick release link which is a great idea for speedy repair on the go . Would suggest though to get a few spare quick release links thay are very cheep on amazon as an add on etc . Works fine on 6 . you will need to take a couple of links off also fits 7/8 out of the boxGood price will get another one now for other bike .. buy with confidence. :-)

Good value - works well with SRAM or Shimano
I have loads of these. Never had one break. Don't last for forever, but reasonable life. As for the power link, easy to assemble, can be frustrating to dissemble by hand, easy with special pliers; no need for them for assembly. Good value.

sram chain , enough said.
Bought this for my 24 speed mtb. Just to be clear , you buy the chain based on the no. Of cogs on your rear wheel.. In my case 8. ( there's 3 cogs on front deraileur x 8 = 24 ). It's an sram chain, good quality and easy to fit, has an easy connect link when you've got the length right. I counted links on my existing chain which had been shop fitted several years ago and removed appropriate no. Of links from new chain to ensure it matched old. Highly recommend this chain.

Happy second-time buyer
I just bough this chain as a replacement for the same model that I installed about 18 months. Considering that I have a 25 km cycle to/back from work every day, I think it is pretty durable. It may be a bit on the heavy side if you care too much about the weight of bike components though.EDIT: I actually installed this on a 9spd bike (I counted the number of links, before replacing it the first time, and it was also 114) and it works fine.

Easiest chain to fit and reliable.
This must be one of the simplest chains fit.Push the to security links together and pull apart and it's fitted.Have been using it a number of weeks now and it's definitely a smooth movement, strong and no signs of rusting (been left out a few nights in heavy rain too)Not touched it with any chain lube yet and it's still oiled.Perfect up to now.

Good cheap 8speed chain
Admittedly I didn't take as good of care over this chain as I should of but it lasted me about a year of use on my commuter bike which is used all year in all conditions
