I received the bottle of mimulus last week and I have taken 4 drops 4 times a day like it says and I must say I am starting to feel the effects a few days later. I was skeptical but it works wonders! Although of course how soon the effects are felt depends on what symptoms you feel. My symptom was fear of public speaking and making a mistake when I spoke because I stutter, and I have stuttered since childhood. Coupled with impatiens, the mimulus helps me to gain confidence and be calm and not be afraid of my known fears. Today, Jan 10, 2012 I have felt an improvement in my fluency of speech. It will take a by more time of continuous use (3 weeks) for the effects of mimulus to really settle in because I've been stuttering for years. But it is already working for me. These flower treatments work and they work fast! This product has changed my cat’s life!! She suffered from debilitating anxiety. She hid under the bed constantly, spending most of the day growling anytime any of my other cats came anywhere near her. Anytime anyone in the house moved slightly, she flinched, afraid an attack was being launched against her. She REALLY wanted to be an only cat. She was miserable. I tried all the other OTC drugs I could buy, including others by this maker, and nothing was working! I thought I was going to have to get her Prozac! This product has given her back her life!!! It’s not possible to squeeze 4 drops in her mouth, but I just squeeze in a tiny bit. It has no taste and she doesn’t mind it. A little while later she is calm and stress free. PROS: you can safely use for YOURSELF, YOUR ANIMALS, plants, trees, ALL living things (even rocks...they vibrate too). Mimulus is 4 fear of KNOWN things, i.e., fear of gunshots, GUNS, fireworks, thunder, lightening, men, women, cops, authority figures who use CONTROL/INTIMIDATION, people in white coats, traveling in cars-planes-traines etc. Mimimulus is used for PHOBIAS. For dogs who R fear biters or 4 humans w/rage & potty mouths (of whom I am one). good luck.

Nothing spectacular…just what I ordered.

I have used Rescue Remedy for many years when life gets particularly stressful (initially having had it prescribed by an acupuncturist and Chinese herbal medicine practitioner). Recently, I came upon a description for the use of Bach Flower Mimulus, which says, in brief: "Mimulus the remedy for known fears. Whenever you are frightened or anxious about something, and you can say what that 'something' is, then Mimulus is the remedy to take." I decided to try it and for the described condition, I have found Mimulus to be as effective as Rescue Remedy. And, as with the other standard Bach Flower remedies, the recommended dose of Mimulus is half the recommended dose of Rescue Remedy. Hence, it's more cost effective than Rescue Remedy if you don't want it for a broader range of conditions.

I have used Bach products for quite some time. This remedy, Mimulus, is surprisingly helpful for common anxiety problems. No side effects! Nothing helps every person all the time BUT this is worth a shot to see if you find some benefits in it like I did.

My rescue doggie has always been terrified of loud booming noises, like fireworks or thunderstorms. He would run all over the house crying, trying to find a place to hide, and looking for me to comfort him. I bought a Bach flower essence book dedicated to animals and Mimulus was recommended for unknown fears in animals. I felt this was appropriate for Tennesse's fear, and got some. I was skeptical about flower essences, but figured if I gave it to an animal, they couldn't fake a reaction because they have to clue what they are taking. Well it worked like a charm with the next big thunderstorm. I gave him about 3 or 4 drops, and low and behold within about 10 minutes he was laying down comfortably with his front paws crossed like it was just another relaxing night at home. I have been using Mimulus on him now for 5 years, and I swear by it. Bach Flower essences rock. I have tried some on myself since then with sucess. I would recommed buying a book to understand them better because they do work.
