You can, you have to go into the setting mode and format the camera, doing this deletes all the videos/ photos. The only way to delete specific items is to link it to the app on your phone or a laptop/computer

Yes there is a separate button that you can press to start and stop at any point You can be about 10 foot away from it for it to work
