Origami Paper Gift Set | 100 Sheets, 15cm Square | Contemporary Colour Collection

Just started trying out origami, and whilst using printer paper is okay, I wanted to try proper origami paper due to size, thickness and colours. This little set is great for beginners and also for more advanced people too. The paper is good quality, thinner than printer paper but really strong and holds a fold beautifully. The colours are bold and haven't rubbed off onto my hand like some coloured paper has in the past. The pack itself came with a some extra paper and instructions to make an origami whale (in my pack anyway, I imagine it is a random and other packs may differ). It also had a card telling you how to make a paper hat that you can turn into a boat! Excellent! The paper comes in a beautiful box and makes a great gift for those who are starting a new hobby. The paper size is 15cm x 15cm, which does mean some models come out small and can be fiddly, but I found I can still do some fairly complex origami that I found online (Youtube again).Overall, a great gift for origami fans or newcomers. Great value too.

I am not often compelled to write a review, but I was really impressed with this product. What you get is ten sheets each of ten different colours, with white on the reverse side. The paper and all packaging are made from FSC certified sustainable sources. Contrary to some reviews, they do seem to be perfectly square, if you rotate half the pack 90 degrees, they all still line up with well under 1mm precision. You get instructions for three simple models and a reference card telling you the Pantone colours of the paper. The paper is housed in an ingenious and attractive resealable card box decorated with pictures of paper cranes, and the whole thing came in a sturdy corrugated cardboard package so it was in perfect condition; even delivery was fast (I ordered one morning and it arrived the next).Yes, you can buy paper a little cheaper elsewhere, but then it's often poorer quality, not square, or arrives creased. This is well worth the extra. The only thing I can think of to improve it would be if some sheets were included with differing colours on the two sides, but that is really only for specialist use.

I was looking for a cheap starting point for a friend who is into arts and crafts and had never before tried Origami. After reading the reviews and comparing prices I made the leap and purchased this set and waited for them to be delivered.First of all packaging is well thought out and none of the papers suffered any damage during delivery. Included with the paper is three basic designs that are great for someone who hasn't made any Origami models in a while and also for those just beginning as it offers very detailed instructions which will help those unfamiliar with the various terms to be given a basic understanding.The paper itself is vibrant in colours and very thin, which a lot of users prefer as it stops certain models being poorly weighted and helps maintain balancing. Its perfect for anyone starting out however, there is better quality paper out there but this set will help you get started or master a difficult piece before using exspensive paper.Great gift idea for anyone into Arts and Crafts, my friend loved it!

break easily . colour also came off on creases. It feels like copy paper with colour on one side. Personally I think it needs to be thinner and a coating/wax (no sure) to protect the colour also give strength to paper. This paper is not so good for origami, maybe only easy models. Can be good for other paper crafts. Colour is nice, vibrant. Packaging is good.

We have now used about 75% of the sheets in the pack, and I must say that, not only is the paper of excellent quality and folds well, but the colour range is good too allowing us to select an appropriate colour for each model that we do.The packaging is good too, which allows me to carry some sheets of the Origami paper to work so that I can practice in odd moments, or during lunchtime, particularly if I need to prepare a model or something for demonstration purposes.If you can afford this, I would definitely recommend this paper.

The paper is too thick so only suitable for very simple designs. Although I really love the colours was disappointed that it wasn't on both sides and that the colour came off on the creases.

The paper isn't perfectly square and in some cases isn't even close. It's largely useless shame since the colours are so nice.

I bought the origami squares for myself and they arrived promptly with hardly any waiting times for the delivery. As extras there were some bonus sheets and diagrams on how to fold an elephant, a boat and a paper hat :) For the price I'd recommend this set for anyone who is wanting to try Origami or even if you have done origami before! The squares are perfectly symmetrical and there is a wide range of colours.
