Tangle Teezer Thick and Curly Detangling Hairbrush Dark Red

By far the best brush I've ever used. My hair gets so tangled because it's down to my waist, pretty curly, really fine, and there's a lot of it. It used to take me at least 30 minutes, sometimes an hour of brushing to get the knots out, but with this brush I can be done in five minutes. Wish I'd had this as a child! I've used the other tangle teezers before and they've always been fantastic, but when I saw the "thick and curly" one I had to give it a try. I'm so so so glad I did! I seriously didn't think I'd ever find a brush better than the original, but the extra length and variety of length of these bristles has proven to be an absolute dream. My hair doesn't get damaged while brushing, it's almost painless, and my hair feels so much smoother and softer since switching to this version. A++!

Despite several emails, the original one I ordered didn't arrive and I was refunded. I bought one elsewhere in the end, having spotted one in a shop. I'm reviewing now because this is a superb product and deserves to get a good review even if the original seller (no longer selling, I think) failed to get one sent to me. I already had and loved my regular tangle teezer, but there were occasions when it felt like the bristles weren't long enough to get through my thick, coarse, curly and very long hair. So when I spotted this new variation on the theme, I was keen to try it. The bristles on this one are about half again as long as those of the regular one, and possibly double the thickness (my hair has bent some of the bristles on my regular one) and they sweep through tangles effortlessly. At the end of a working day when I have been too busy to give it a brush, the hair at the nape of my neck and back of my head is matted and about to start turning into dreadlocks; this brush makes easy work of it, no ouchies as such.

I have had a couple of tangle geezers but this is my first tangle geezer for thick, curly, wavy and afro hair. I like this product as I can brush my hair to remove tangles and knots without out all the tugging and pain that comes with using a regular brush. I use this geezer to comb through conditioners when I wash my hair too. I also like the ergonomically designed shape which can make it easier to hold when using it. However when I use it to apply conditioner or using it in the shower to wash my hair it can slip from my hand, I think this because it is made from plastic. The difference between this teezer and the ones that I've previously used is that this has longer bristles which go through my hair more readily than the shorter bristled teezer. Hopefully this tangle geezer will last longer than my previous teezers, I find that after using the teezer for a while the bristles do tend to lose their shape a bit like a toothbrush when you know you have to replace it. I would recommend this product to those people who have thick, curly wavy afro hair.

The shape of this brush makes brushing a far more pleasant experience than handled brushes. Obviously you could just hold your handled hairbrush by the body rather than handle, but the tangle teaser has a slight curve to it that makes it a superior option. The bristles are interesting. They feel sharp, and are at varying levels which does seem to make some difference. Overall this is a good brush. I sometimes worry it's more harsh on my hair than a brush with little bristle covers, but that hasn't stopped me from neglecting my normal brush in favour of the tangle teaser.

My hair is incredibly thick, long, highlighted, dry, and recently been very PAINFUL to brush knots out as I'm very head sore at the moment. I brushed my hair and also washed it as little as possible because brushing it out was such a long, painful chore. Then I bought this thick and curly Tangle Teezer, and oh my goodness! It no longer hurts to brush, it gently makes knots disappear, it's so much easier to manage, even when WET! Usually my hair is even worse when wet. I've never brushed my hair as much now and started wearing it down. I only ever wore it tied up apart from for parties/going out. I couldn't wait to wash it when the brush first arrived to try it out! I'm going to buy a second to keep in my bag and one in the house. Excellent. Well worth the money!! Who would have thought this little brush could make such a difference to me. If you're struggling with your hair, definitely try this - make sure you pick the right brush for your kind of hair. If it's thick make sure you get the thick hair one. I could probably do with the spikes being even a little longer mine is so thick, but I'm not complaining!

I was extremely sceptical of this to begin. I’ve know about this product for MANY years but always assumed it only worked on ‘straight’ or ‘European curly’ hair. I have a mix between 3B, 3C and 4a curls and am mixed with a lot of frizz. I haven’t touched a wide tooth comb since I have this. This detangles my hair in a painless manner and leaves it very smooth with WAY less shedding than I had with a comb. I’ve gone from having to make multiple sections on wash day to splitting my hair in half and just brushing it with this (when wet). I then use it again while putting my hair into twists. To sum up: Has saved me at least 20-30m per week from washdays Has reduced hair shedding I have less knots and tangles I’m in love. Already bought a 2nd one in case anything happens to the first. I wouldn’t wash my hair without this. Don’t hesitate to buy!

I have almost bottom length hair, which is very very thick and can be a nightmare to brush (I'm 22 year old, use Disney princess detangling spray and sometimes have to give in an ask my Mum to brush my hair) but this hairbrush has changed my life! I had an original tangle teezer before but the bristles weren't long enough to go through my hair, unlike this one which features much longer bristles which is perfect for my thick hair. I would reccomend this, or any other tangle teezer to anyone, a child or not, who has trouble brushing their hair, but definitely would reccomend this specific brush for people with thicker hair.

I have super thick, curly hair (3A-3C) which is always a pain to detangle. I also only wash my hair once a week which means it’s tangled a good amount by time I wash it. I originally used a Wet brush which pulled way too much hair out. Then I started using a comb which left my hand and head in pain from pulling so hard while also taking out too much hair. I decided to try this and kept me expectations neutral as a lot of things designed for “thick and curly” hair don’t do much but this is an exception. I wish I bought the Tangle Teezer sooner. I’ve used it twice so far and both times, it has allowed me to get rid of the tangled mess in half the time it took me with any other tool, and with no pulling or ripping hair out. I use it by putting in Kinky Curly Knot Today leave in/detangler and then brushing the Tangle Teezer through my hair starting from my ends and up to my roots. I no longer dread detangling or fear I’ll end up bald from doing it. Great product!

Una spazzola veramente fantastica! E' stato l'amore fin dalla prima spazzolata! Erano ani che ero curiosa su questa spazzola, anzi quella originale. Felicissima d averla acquistata sopratutto a metà prezzo e ricevuta così presto. Ottima anche la decisione d aver preso proprio qst modello, avendo i capelli davvero molto lunghi, tantissimi e ricci. Quindi chi ha i capelli così non abbiate alcun dubbio. Scioglie i nodi delicatamente ma bene. I perni lunghi e morbidissimi cn qlli corti fanno il loro lavoro, anche a vederla e' un piacere ed il colore è uno d m preferiti, comoda la presa ed e' bella grande!

It breaks lot of hair and it doesn't even glides smoothly on ur hair

Compré este cepillo con mucha duda ya que a pesar de leer muy buenas críticas me echaba para atrás el precio tan bajo. Pensaba que no notaría la diferencia entre mi cepillo habitual y el Tangle Teezer, pero me equivocaba! Escogí el modelo para cabello rizado o grueso y es super eficaz! Mi pelo se enreda muy fácilmente y para mí siempre ha sido un suplicio tener que desenredarlo, pero con este cepillo es facilísimo ya que da muchos menos tirones!! La diferencia entre mis cepillos anteriores (más caros) y este es total. Recomiendo la compra 100%! Es muy fácil de usar, es pequeño y lo puedes llevar a cualquier parte y además el precio es económico. La única pega que le pongo es que no venga en un neceser o con tapa.

El cepillo lo compré por recomendación de mi barbero para mi barba larga que es fácil que se enrede, después de usar este cepillo es más fácil mantener mi barba peinada y en orden. Recomiendo ampliamente si tienes la barba larga y pretendes mantenerla peinada o si quieres desenredarla. Servicio de Amazon de 5 estrellas en cuanto al envío. Gracias Amazon.
