There are times that I want to turn off my brain and just do a simple craft rather than one that takes a lot of effort. This kit has everything you need, except for scissors and is really easy to do. I haven't finished it completely yet, but am enjoying it so far and know it will make a cute addition to my home. I highly recommend this kit if you are a beginner or just want to make a quick craft.

Bought this to learn a new hobby, arrived within a few weeks, instructions are excellent and comes with everything you need including a needle. Threads are good quality. However this isn't printed on cross stitch material that you will see in YouTube videos or guides, this is just plain old regular material. This means that you are in charge of making sure that every cross is perfect, and if you miss one by a tiny fraction it is very noticeable and messy looking. Stab the needle through in the wrong place too many times and the material almost breaks up. This doesn't sound like a problem if you really concentrate, but by the time you do your hundredth cross, and you realise it's out, it's very frustrating! So I'm using this kit as a learning exercise! At this price you can't really complain to much

Doesn't come with needle threader or sizzors, definitely good for beginners, very therapeutic, not sure it comes with enough thread, if you have a needle threader and extra thread then would recommend

Brought this to do over summer and likes it so much I got another one to make for my sister for Xmas! Have placed it in a box frame with some crystal gems at the bottom. The only thins I would say is harder as it’s not on normal cross stitch fabric it’s harder to get the holes correct as the fabric is too hard to see

I brought this as the majority of reviews stated this was good for beginners however I haven’t managed to start as a needle was not included! The package claims a needle is included but mine was nowhere to be seen. Unsure what I can do with this now

Perfect for beginners. The instructions included are easy to follow, and teaches a few different stitches. After doing a bit of this as practice, I then went on to stitch my sons name onto a quilt and it actually looks quite good :) the only thing stopping me giving it 5 stars is the screw on the hoop slowly loosens so you need to keep restricting your fabric and tightening the screw. Other than that, it was just what I wanted, thankyou.

I wanted a quick and easy cross-stich for a collegue who was moving away. I didn't have much warning so needed something quick and easy and saw that this pattern was printed on the base. Maybe I didn't read the full details properly but instead of the normal aida used in cross-stitch it was cloth, so thread was more difficult to pull through esp as pattern adv using 3 strands to stitch with. I found this particularly difficult and the result I didn't feel was the best .So I used two strands and persevered, the end result was good enough to give as a present but I don't think I would choose to do it this way again. For a beginner I think aida would have been an easier base to work on but I'm not displeased with the end product.

First attempt at st cross stitch and thoroughly enjoyed itI have some experience of sewing so reckon it wasn't suitable for complete beginnersI can recommend this product
