Then they would last for a year! They taste really nice and are of good size and quality!!! **Q: What is the best way to reconstitute these mushrooms?** A: Rinse the required amount of mushrooms under cold running water, rubbing the underside to remove any grit. Pour boiling water over and soak them for 30 minutes in a hurry, or hours, even overnight if not. DO NOT throw away the steeping water! It's an excellent base for soup, ramen, splashing into a stir-fry, as the water for rice cooking (normal or risotto. Just make sure any grit, which I've never had, stays behind. **Q: Are these sun dried?** A: Not sure if they are sundried. But they are definitely dried. They need to rehydrate in warm/ hot water. But are delicious! **Q: Can they be eaten raw,as a dried snack?** A: Doubt it would be a very pleasant experience, they are dried and very hard until you soak them in hot water for at least half an hour or so. You might be able to eat them after prolonged soaking however because they get softer the longer you soak them so try an overnight soak.
