Bins are one of those household items that no one gives much thought to. Over the years I have had some pretty rubbish bins if you'll pardon the pun. I will buy simplehuman from now on. Yes they are pricey but I get the feeling that they will last for a very long time which is backed up by the incredible 10 year warranty. I bought this bin for a small bathroom and it is perfect as it fits neatly against the wall - such a simple space saving solution that makes the bin looks less intrusive. Although it is so stylish that it really doesn't need to be hidden away too much. Everyone using my bathroom seems to comment on it and I will be looking to replace my kitchen bins in the not too distant future. I'm not sure how, but there it is.From a blokey perspective: it's solidly made, the soft close lid is pretty cool for when you want to show off your skillz by dropping something in after taking your foot off the pedal. You can also lift the lid fully and it'll stay open... which is handy for when you just want to bin a bunch of stuff. The D shape is less awkward for cramming oddly shaped things into than I expected, and the bin holds quite a bit. Had it a couple of weeks and no sign of rust yet.Also, it looks nice. The liner gets nicely hidden down the sides of the inner plastic bin. Ok - busted - that last one my wife had to point out.

This is a premium product. Honest. Bought this in 2015 and I have updated this in June 2019 with a photo of the base of the 10 ltr version.One of those purchases where you don't feel slightly disappointed with the construction, presentation or some other issue.I read many of the reviews here before purchase and I was not let down.I particularly like the appearance, the solid 'kick' of the foot pedal, and the way everything fits so it keeps very clean in operation.As you can see in the uploaded photo, there are two rubber feet on the bottom and the bin sits on these plus about half of the bottom plastic circumference.Very happy!

Bin is all i needed- right size for where i am using,soft close and doesn't leave finger marks. Clever and 'simple 'design that fits up to the wall.My only grumble was that it had a very obvious dent in the lid and as it was from Marketplace and described as like-new, i was torn in deciding to return it. Was money off- £5.00- but felt should have had bit more off price. Kept it as i was fed up without a bin, hence the 4 stars.

I never thought that I could get so excited about a range of products, but this item is just one of several items I have purchased to accessorise my new fitted kitchen. I am delighted with the semi-circular waste bin; the product is well designed, well made and excellent materials used in its construction. A lot of thought has obviously gone into making it as robust as possible while still maintaining its good looks. The co-ordinating bags fit perfectly and nothing overhangs. The soft close lid is efficient and I have not noticed any smell from contents. Certainly not the cheapest on the market but good value for money.

Agree with all the 5 star reviews. This bin not only works perfectly and looks very sturdy but its a lovely object. Because of the flat back it sits neatly against the end of the units in my small kitchen. My last bin was a Brabantia 12 litre pedal bin & lasted 8 years but the pedal broke (as they do). My only concern was that this new one might be a bit too small but its perfect for our needs. There are only two of us and we recycle as much as possible as well as composting. It arrived on Monday morning and was put into use, it's now Wednesday and it's nowhere near full. Great buy.

This is very small and neat which is perfect for my needs. It would probably be too small for the average family's kitchen use. The soft close lid seems to work quietly and well. It came with a supply of bags which fit snugly so that there is no impedance to the lid. They seem a bit pricey to buy, but I will probably purchase some more because they do a good job. Time will tell how durable the bin is but so far I am very satisfied.
