F **Q: How thick is the base? Trying to figure out size of u-bolts needed to fit to trailer.** A: Base is approx 10mm thick **Q: How easy is it to fit box to the A frame on a trailer? Are there pre drilled holes in the base?** A: Undrilled but easy to drill through the double layer of thermoplastic and I used square/u bolts with plates and nuts to attach mine to the a-frame of the trailer. Very easy even for basic diy. No fixings came with the box I ordered these separate. I would also recommend piping some sealant around the wholes where you attach the bolts through to maintain a water-tight seal. Hope that helps. **Q: How thick is the base? Trying to work out what length u-bolts to get.** A: Depends on what you are fixing to ? However, does not come with fixtures / fittings so you have to drill through the bottom and bolt in place for yourself (which is quite simple if you have the correct tools and hardware). That said, it locks well, is well made and very sturdy.
