it will not make a lot of difference--it will jut out an inch at the front so unless you are restricted by other bathroom extres ---and you are not going to sit on the lid it should be alright

I do not know the answer but most toilet seats are universal for modern toilets. If you have a vintage toilet or antique toilet the modern seat will be to small.

you really need to tightly fix with right size spanner If you leave it lose it will move when you ate sitting on it.If you cannot do this a person with a stronger wrist may help.
