Does what it says on the tin
I cannot fault this product. To compare it with the latest hi-fi ear-fitting from MicroMac or wherever is pointless. I am judging it for what it is, a cheap and cheerful retro-earpiece that works perfectly in conveying sound from my little transistor into my ear. For what it costs, it's just the job. The sound is as good as one could possibly expect from something like this (hence my rating of 'excellent' - this is arbitrary, after all); comfort is fine, it just pops into your ear and you can't feel it; value for money is beyond question - if this is what you're looking for, that is. I was, so I bought more than one and will be buying more as the need arises.

Solid Performer
These were never that wonderful or of a high quality back in the 70s using similar ones to listen to Radio Luxembourg deep into the night. But what they were then and are now is cheap, dependable and disposable to a degree. They are the very useful in function but also don't provoke tears due to cost if you break one. Went through loads as kid when they were only 49p and will probably go through loads as a adult too. Meanwhile my expensive whatever brand at the time headphones are preserved from the abuse these get.

Lowfi mono at its best!
Earphone for those that take their nostalgia seriously and don’t want it sugar coated.. earpiece was reassuringly tinny and took me right back to my first transistor radio..hidden under the bed covers after I’d been told to go to sleep for the 5th time in the early 70s. Paired it with my last ‘wireless’ a Panasonic RF - B55 shortwave.. just resurrected it .. looking forward to listening in bed tonight in full low fidelity mono …bliss..

Not very good
These might be ok for security-style mono ear-pieces with only a phone quality voice but for radio they are terrible. For starters they keep cutting out and the actual audio quality is all 'tinny' like an old transistor and not pleasant sounding at all. Was looking for a mono ear piece to lay in bed listening to the radio and fall asleep so not get caught up stereo cables or airpods which get lost... will have to keep looking. Too cheap to bother returning... save yourself the money and don't bother getting these.

Thought this would be a change from using a tangled stereo ear buds. But find these really tinny and not really suited to using with my portable Roberts radio. Anyway these are probably ok for a child as they are cheap enough, but i'm sorry to say not for me.

They work with mobile
I like to listen to the radio in bed, helps me get to sleep. Using a mono single earpiece makes sense. I can lay on my side comfortably and can also listen to stereo broadcasts. Often with stereo earpieces I find that if I just use , say the left side, then I lose a lot of narrative volume from the right. The earpiece is comfortable, the item seems well made although only time will tell how long they might last. At the price I think they are better than I expected and I am hopeful that I will be using them for a long time.

Ear-piece stays in all night.
This little ear piece actually stays in your ear all night if you want it to or if your spouse/partner wants quietness and peace and no radio noise. If you are used to putting the ear piece in your right ear, insert it with the cable facing forwards and then turn the cable downwards which turns the earpiece clockwise in your ear (as viewed from the right). so it (the earpiece) is trapped behind your ear lobe - where it comfortably stays all night if that's what you want it to do. Vice versa I suppose, if you put the earpiece in your left ear but I couldn't vouch for that! Try it if you are a left-ear person!

I LIKE IT
I wanted this for my bedside radio. As with all these earpieces the wire to the connection eventually wears and they no longer work. I have got through quite a few of them. This one is so far doing fine, no problems, and I would recommend.
