Worth the MONEY!!
I’ve been using ink printers for a long time, but they always ran out too quickly and became expensive to maintain. I decided to switch to this printer, and I couldn’t be happier! It lasts for around 1,000 pages before needing a refill, which is a huge improvement. The print quality is excellent, and it handles large amounts of work effortlessly.I’m currently preparing for my GCSE exams, so I’ve been printing a lot of study materials. This printer has been a lifesaver—no more constant refills or worrying about running out of ink at the worst moments. The setup was quick and easy, and the overall performance has been flawless. On top of that, the service has been fantastic. Delivery was fast, and everything arrived in perfect condition. If you need a reliable, long-lasting printer, I highly recommend this one!

Great, reasonably priced all in one printer
The Brother DCP-1610W printer was easy to setup via the CD installation disk provided, but the lack of a USB cable to connect to your PC was a bit surprising, but it's a standard printer USB so I used my previous printers cable so no major problem as long as you know that you need one. I set the wi-fi up using the printer menus as the WPS option didn't find the network, but it was straight forward and connected with no problems. You have to download the iPrint software to print wirelessly from your phone or tablet which was also easy to setup on Android and MAC. The one major surprise was that you can't load paper and shut the door, as A4 paper sticks out beyond the printer body and there is an extender which pulls out to support it. I keep the paper door shut when not in use to keep the dust out and load paper as needed, it's not a game changer but worth noting. The scanner/copier is good and the printer is quick and produces good quality laser prints. Overall it's a very affordable, well built all in one printer that produces good results at an excellent price.

Decent printer but footprint larger than expected
I bought this for my sons room so that he could print his school work instead on of using my Brother inkjet printer all the time. The Brother Laser Printer is quite cheap for a printer and the replacement toner cartridges are a good price.BUILD QUALITYThe printer is quite light for a laser printer - I could lift the box with one hand. It is quite sturdy and has a single paper feed that can hold up to 100 sheets at a time. The paper input protrudes out from the front of the printer by a good 4 inches so make sure you have enough desk space as it is larger than the measurements given in the photos.SETUPRemove all the protective retainers and film/tape. The printer comes with a supplied toner cartridge which is straightforward to fitAs this is a wireless printer the setup is very easy. I used the menu on the printer to set it up and took all of 2 mins. Once connected it will print out a sheet providing details of the connection.Inserting the paper was more fiddly than I expected and the first couple of sheets printed at an angle. But with a little correction this was easily sorted.PRINT QUALITYI printed a photo from my phone and this printed in decent black and white. The printer is able to print 20 pages per minute of edge to edge printing which is quite fast - but fine do what we need.NOISEThe printer was noisier than in expected, certainly more noisy than my inkjet printer. In sleep mode there is obviously no noise.OVERALLDo be aware of the size - although printer itself is quite small - with the paper loaded the printer takes up more space. Nevertheless, this is a decent printer for the price.

Easy step - easy to work out
Read the comments about people getting a euro plug. mine came with uk plug. so not sure whats that is about, maybe because i brought mine new. They don't include the USB cable any more with printers, but i was aware of this and had one just incase i needed it. But i was plan to set it up as a wireless printer, it was very easy setup. There printer has a WPS button on it, just hold it for about 10 seconds, press the WPS button on your router and the wifi light will stop blinking when you have been successful. if it still blinks hold it on the printer for another 10 secs or more. should work. (i did it from the web page of the router that had more options to make it easier. (it will do a print giving your wifi settings if it worked, so make sure you have paper and the starter toner installed before you do this.) So no needed for a USB cable just to set it up on the wifi if, provided your router has a WPS button on it.once the printer was connected to my wifi, i downloaded the full brother drivers from there web site, installed, setup detected the printer on the next work and installed. and I printed something from MS word to test it and it worked fine. The brother full drivers/software includes a little icon to allow you to see the toner levels which is nice.Prints are crisp and clean, I did have trouble working out how to install the Starter toner that came with it. had to find a youtube video show me. Turns out i was trying to install it back to front, remember when you remove the protective cap, that that part goes in head first. The instructions that it came with was no that clear in the diagram about that bit.I love this printer, simple, fast so i order 2 more toners. should last for years now.I believe the printer only has 38mbs of ram. meaning it might have problem printing large PDF files. there is an option in PDF viewers to "print as image" that should get around this problem, I have not tried this out yet, but bare that in mind. otherwise its perfect for all the simple excel and word documents i print out.there is lots of videos online showing you how to do anything with it so easy to find a solution
