Brought the cleaning fluid after nothing happened from soaking the nibs in hot soapy water for a few days. Put the nibs is a dish and covered with just enough fluid and left for about 18 hours. I changed the cleaning fluid twice during this time. The pens now work like brand new pens, you’d never know how old they are! I’m so happy with it. I can't find any safety data online. Thanks.** A: I'm sorry I can't help you as there are no ingredient information on the bottle or leaflet inside or safety warnings just information for use, it says rinse in running water after use so I assume it's safe and I've had no problems using it even after getting it on my hands. **Q: Will this product clean a clogged fountain pen ?** A: That depends I’m afraid on how long your pen has been clogged up. The cleaning fluid is very good in normal circumstances for Rotring technical pens. I would completely undo the fountain pen nib components, place nib in a suitable container and cover with boiling water. Leave till cool then gently shake nib from side to side to remove old ink, brush carefully with old toothbrush. Repeat this process up to three times then place in jam jar with cleaning fluid for a few days. If your nib is very fine, think you will have to replace it. Hope this helps. **Q: Will this work on acrylic pen nibs** A: I suspect not. I would try applying a drop of the fluid onto some dry acrylic paint first - to see if it dissolves on a surface. **Q: Why is it not working as well as the one i bought from rotring? how can i test if it’s original and genuine?** A: I only used this one, didn't buy from Rotring, so all I can say is this one worked for me with one of my pens.
