## Description

Product description Damp Proof membrane paint for floors, basements, water tanks and walls. "The System That Really Holds Water" ASK WATERBASED EPOXY is water based epoxy coating suitable for all applications where concrete or masonry requires waterproofing and protection. It is applied in the same manner as ordinary emulsion paint with the added benefit of application in damp conditions. Once dried ASK WATERBASED EPOXY leaves a tough, non toxic, waterproof, easy to clean surface. Location of use Basements and areas needing a damp proof membrane. Water tanks and sewerage treatment plants. Abattoirs and fisheries. Dairies and milking parlours, food factories and breweries. Grain silos. Chemical industry garages. Bunds and water plants. Curing Tough cure in 4 hours – hard dry in 12 hours – maximum cure 8 days. Once cured can withstand pressure washing, steam cleaning and washing with sterilizing liquids. Packaging Two part product which when mixed gives 5 litres, 2.5 litres and 1 litre depending on size purchased. Clean, easy to use, recyclable packaging. Coverage and storage Coverage is approximately 7 square metres per 1 litre. This may be reduced on rougher more porous surfaces. Store in cool, dry conditions in original tins. Protect from freezing. A shelf life in excess of 12 months can be expected. Cleaning equipment If using spray equipment, rinse thoroughly with cold water frequently to avoid build up of cured paint. Brushes and rollers should be washed in cold water and mild detergent. Application and General Instructions Surfaces to be filled must be clean and free from all foreign matter such as grease, dust and loose or flaking paint. A two part product– simply mix pack B into Pack A stirring continuously and add water to fill line. As easy to use as ordinary emulsion paint, apply using a brush, roller or spray. 2nd coat should be applied as soon as 1st coat is touch dry. Assorted colours available. Non Toxic, tough and durable Legal Disclaimer ASK EPOXY FLOOR PAINT is a very safe product to use however it is recommended that all skin and eye contact be avoided and that any areas of skin contact be washed immediately with soap and water. It is advisable to wear gloves. DO NOT INGEST. If this occurs seek medical advice immediately. Keep out of reach of children. Warning – Do not apply in temperatures below 10°C.

Review: It does what it says on the tin - The colour is spot on and a lovely shade of grey and goes well in the kitchen. I put it down to protect the floor until we decided what floor covering to have. Now we love it that much we are just going to get a rug. The kitchen just feels more hygienic now and will be easier to keep clean. It took longer than 8 hours to be tack free. We could walk on it at 10 hours, but I did make sure it was well covered and I didn't waste any. The tin is 1 ltr and it spread further than I expected. I put it on at night so it had very little impact on us as we were a sleep for most of the drying period. Dead easy to mix and the instructions are really easy to follow.
Review: Better than expected - This stuff is superb. Bought it for a damp garage wall that was getting mouldy. Cleaned off the mould and applied this all over the brickwork. No more damp coming through the bricks, smell of damp has gone and it looks nice and clean too. Really impressed. Would buy again if I needed to tackle damp. It was easy to brush on with a normal brush and coverage estimate was pretty accurate even on the back of bricks. The trick is mixing with plenty of water otherwise it thickens quite quickly. It cured properly after about 5 days but weather had turned cold, so that slowed it down a bit.

**Q: Would this work on a small patch of concrete floor which is showing damp, or must the whole floor area be painted?**
A: I should imagine that if there is a small patch, it would spread,?? But our kitchen floor is concrete and it was really bad, black mould underneath the cushion floor, we did it twice, 2 tins you can't save it has to be used asap, up to now we are very pleased with it

A: I would say not, it has a hard finish, we used on our concrete floor to stop floor moisture rising but that's only my opinion

**Q: Has anyone painted over this?**
A: No, but I placed slightly raised floorboards on it and have no damp problems at all. It was applied to the floor of an outside shed that was afflicted with incessant damp.

The colour is spot on and a lovely shade of grey and goes well in the kitchen. I put it down to protect the floor until we decided what floor covering to have. Now we love it that much we are just going to get a rug. The kitchen just feels more hygienic now and will be easier to keep clean. It took longer than 8 hours to be tack free. We could walk on it at 10 hours, but I did make sure it was well covered and I didn't waste any. The tin is 1 ltr and it spread further than I expected. I put it on at night so it had very little impact on us as we were a sleep for most of the drying period. Dead easy to mix and the instructions are really easy to follow.
