Very effective for medium sized houseflies
These are not pretty things to look at but they work brilliantly. During recent hot weather, we were plagued by flies coming into the house through the open doors and windows. The fly swat seemed to be constantly in use, but the flies were quicker than we were! Bought these as a solution, but they arrived just as the weather changed, despite delivery being quicker than expected. As soon as the weather warmed up again and the doors and windows were opened, we hung one up, and it caught a dozen flies within a couple of hours. So good to be able to prepare and eat food without being "divebombed" by the pesky flies. Don't know how long they'll be effective for, but with UK weather, the fly season will soon be over no doubt, but I'll definitely be buying more of these when I run out. Not sure how effective it will be with for the big "buzzy" bluebottles, as the only one we've had in the house since wasn't attracted to it, but for the medium-sized houseflies it has been brilliant so far. It also caught a couple of smaller flies. Took the advice from another reviewer about warming them in our hands before unrolling - thank you for that, as it made it much easier. Update: It's now 3 weeks later - the original strips are still catching flies. Dozens of flies now dealt with and we can have the windows open in peace. Only one big "bluebottle" caught, but it's fantastic for the medium-sized "housefly" type.

Absolutely mental.
Bought 2 packs of these for like 2£ a piece and they're absolutely amazing for the price. I've seen them catch small flies, big flies and even spiders. Having them up for 1 day didn't do much, but after around a week they had absolutely loads of flies on them. Considering the price of the competition, I'd say these are almost perfect. It can be difficult to put up because of the stickiness but that's a given. We ended up just taping the top instead of using the ribbon. Worked just as well! I had to buy another pack of these due to how many the first caught, as almost every spot on the trap was filled.

sticky...... very very sticky!!
9 of the 10 were perfect, one was so sticky it wouldn't un-wind and ripped in half. In my book they do the trick. Hang it in front of a window where the flys congregate and change it when it's full. Over the 2018 summer we changed every 4 or 5 days as they worked very well. These save a lot of swatting but I appreciate not everyone will get on with them....... Tip.... the glue sticks to everything.... including fingers, curtains, 7yr olds and the dog.... swarfefa or equivalent deals with it nicely.... if not then (delete as applicable) scissors/hairdresser/dog groomer!!!

Cheap and Useless
Having read reviews that these strips were difficult to extract from the tube without tearing the paper I proceeded very cautiously. I secured the fabric loop to a joist in my fly infested garage, with the supplied drawing pin (pin tack) and very slowly and gently pulled down on the tube. It was warm in the room (24°C) so that probably helped and the paper untwirrled by twisting the fabric loop, which I let unwind several times. Eventually the sticky paper ribbon was dangling from the ceiling - a threat to all passing flies. It has been up there a week now and only one very small midge has adhered to the paper, however, dozens of tiny midges and a few flies have died in the spiders’ webs around the windows. These papers need chemicals to attract flies and poisons to kill them. I don’t know what is on this product, but if it said “Keep Off” and flies could read it couldn’t be more ineffective. I shall leave it up and if it collects more victims in the future I will update this review.

Not 'clear'
These were advertised as being 'clear', which they are not (hence the 3 stars). Instead they are a light beige colour. I have opened 6 of the fly catchers but one of the strips split as I gently pulled it out and so is unusable. They are extremely sticky so hoping they catch lots of flies and moths.

FAB U LOUS
I really don’t like fly sprays with chemicals, so decided to use these chemical free sticky strips. I put the sticky strip in the doorway of the conservatory and it gets loaded with flies, even caught a spider (goodness knows how that got on there) and a butterfly (sad about this) but it works! Admitting they don’t look nice, but hey at least we’re not choking on chemicals. They are a bit tricky to put up, you must warm the glue up before pulling the strip out of the cylinder, I leave in the sun for 10 mins and the strip pulls out really easily or they say warm in your hand for a while, the horrible bit is trying to hang it up without getting covered with glue, I had it in my hair etc yuck, but one up they’re great.

sfortunatamente, questi non funzionano. Li ho messi ovunque e non ha catturato una zanzara o volare da nessuna parte
