Enough to tie 2 small clumps to introduce this useful plant to your aquarium!
I am very pleased with what I received and will be using this company in the future. The plants arrived quicker than expected (which is great unless you arranged to be in on the day delivery was originally quoted). The plants are small but this is how I wanted them for my new aquarium. There was enough to make 2 small clumps which I have tied to spider wood. There was some breaking up of the moss when I placed it in my tank but well over half of each clump has remained tied to the wood.Delivery was fuss free and the plants arrived nice and moist in sealed plastic bags. Obviously I now have to wait to see if they grow well, but I cannot see there being any problem. Java moss is quite expensive in my local fish store so this represented good value. There was no sign of any snail eggs but again only time will tell if the plants are snail free (no mention of snail status in the listing). I don't care if snails are introduced but if it is important to you then I would suggest getting in touch with them before ordering.

Not as advertised - predominantly brown, presumably deceased
The main photo looks great - just the sort of thing for an aquarium. The actual photos look reasonable but what you get is far from what you see above. I don't like to leave bad reviews but in this case I was totally underwhelmed by what I found when I opened the envelope. The fact that the envelope is padded might have spared the moss some of the damage it will undoubtedly received in transit, but not a lot. Time will tell if any of this grows! As for whether this is sold by Biotope Aquatics or Lincolnshire Pond Plants is something of a mystery

Despite bad reviews, My delivery was perfectly healthy.
I had read many bad reviews on this java moss being sent from pond&aquriumplant UK, i decided to take the chance anyway and order some in the hopes i wasnt going to become another bad reviewer. My moss was delivered today after only 2 and a half days in the post, the moss i was sent arrived mostly deep green and looks rather healthy. There is around 1% of the center of the clump sent with some slightly brown strands, but it is certainly what i would consider a healthy plant. It was slightly flattened after spending time going through the postal system, it was packaged in a box but the box had been squashed at some point, no fault at all of the seller.I havent taken my time to smell java moss before, but after reading reviews on it being bad smelling i decided to test this too. I can smell the earthy smell that usually comes with plants of most types, however it does have a slight hint of an oily smell. Im not sure if the hint of an oil smell is natural so i will be flushing this moss before adding it to my terrarium.I see no snails upon inspection although its impossible to see eggs. This wouldnt be a bad thing for me, it would just mean more food for my dart frogs IF it did contain snails.Overall i am very pleased with this purchase.

The product itself is fine, however I just find it doesn't suit my tank
The moss has a habit of splitting off and covering a large degree of other plants, somewhat ruining the look.If you can properly secure this in a low movement area of the tank this will be fine, but the general shape of the plant causes it to just make a mess. The plant itself was in good condition and I have no issue with the seller. Some of the other plants they sell here including Cuda, are great. Get those instead.

My own fault
A lot of it does look brown and it did fall apart but that's my own stupid fault for ordering just before a bank holiday and it taking RM almost a week to deliver. Fit the rock I bought it for with about a ping pong ball size left over. Will update with new pictures in a couple of weeks once it settlesUpdate, all completely dead now even with CO2, again guess it's my own fault so don't order close to the weekend otherwise you will just have a clump of dead moss in your tank.

Wouldn’t recommend
Came brown and just made a mess in the tank I have a 50 litre tank with sand and all it did was make the sand look dirty, fish weren’t overly bothered with it

Really bad
So i bought this around 4 months ago at this point and it still looks awful. It arrived dark brown and mostly dead. I put it in a spare tank and there where some alive strands that eventually reproduced and I have a living plant at this point. But I don't think it's java moss. It grows in long strings that just look really awkward and don't even attach to the wood properly and this is after 4 months of me trying to revive them and being them back to life.I'd save the effort and buy from somewhere else. I've been very patient with this moss but its just not growing as it should and it arrived mostly dead.(Please note the picture is after having this moss for 4 months! It has eventually grown from the few living strands but is still not attached to the wood and is not growing like java moss should!)
